    How long did your T60 take to ship

    Does anybody here who still waiting for shipping from Lenovo. I have not seen any posts for 2 days.

    I am getting tired to wait, it was almost a month since I post order.

    Guys, anybody???

    One more quastion, right after order I had lenovo transaction for about a week and after it just dissapeared. Is that should be like this, or ?

    same here, the hold on the credit was removed after a week or so, I think it is usual with the credit card companies

    also ordered 1 gig of ram from newegg that's coming on the same day.

    Damn... I got mine today, however when I looked through the shipping
    slip I noticed that they put in a lower end video card (128Mb), not what
    I paid for (FireGL 256Mb). I did not open the box.
    I called the tech support, they redirected me back to sales.
    Now I am waiting for them to call back.
    I hope I will be able to get credit for the difference in price (I don't want to
    send the whole thing back.)

    I'm also still waiting for my T60. Ordered on 4/27. Already wrote an email and they told me that it will be shipped on the 5/15.But till today it says "in process". :mad:

    If it says Est ship day does that mean that they should ship it by that date? What if the will not. I know that some of you guys got some refund from Lenovo for so long waiting period.

    Could any one give me some more info on that.

    I'm going to be getting mine today too (actually need to pick it up from UPS Will Call).

    Curious if anyone here that has just received / will be receiving their T60 is considering sending it back in favor of placing a T61 order. I was considering it at first, but am not going to. Can't wait for the bigger screens, and don't want to go with the 14" Wide.

    When I got mine, I knew the T61 would be coming out soon, but since I needed a computer desperately, I didn't even consider it. Then once I saw the T61 with the 14" low-res screen, uneven lcd bezel, bad battery life (not 100% confirmed albeit...), poor battery options, ect... all that just made my glad I kept my T60...

    That's exactly how I felt, I have no regrets. I got my T60 today, it looks awesome, great build quality and the screen is flawless. Actually my only regret is I should have purchased the non hi-res 15.4" screen as things on the screen are too small.

    I just noticed my packing slip also said ATI mob. rad x1450 128mb after I opened the box, turn it ON and install 1 gig ram.

    I checked display properties and it shows ati gl v5250.

    So far it looks great.

    Ditto that! Glad I stuck with the T60 as well. So far my only nitpick is the slight palmrest flex (gonna try to tighten a couple screws just to be sure, but I think it's supposed to be like that for durability reasons). The screen (I got the LG) is probably the best all-around panel I have seen on a notebook. I say all around because, while I've seen brighter LCDs (MBP) with slightly better black level, this is the best I've seen in that it really has no significant flaws (MBP had sparkle, NC8430 did too, e1705 had weird crosshatching pattern). I just wish it went a hair brighter, but I'm nitpicking here, so... :D
    Oh! Also, whites are excellent out of the box without any correction.

    Now, to calibrate the battery... :)

    Actually I believe it was purposely designed like that with some flex is because you need to take off the palm rest when adding or changing the memory modules. When I took a peak at the service manual you pry upwards the palm rest and when you put it back you slightly bow the center upwards.

    Look at the service manual yourself and you'll see what i'm talking about.

    Talked to Johnathan today, if anyone bought a notebook and you want to get the price reduced.. you have to do one of two things...

    either wait till the notebook ships to you and when you get it / or once its in the mail call them for a "price protection" request.
    -this means that you will be originally charged the full amount but they will credit you the difference back once you ask for the price protection

    or you have to cancel your order and make a new one..
    -problobly putting you at the end of the line for shipping and building your system.

    Hell yeah I would complain, that's ridiculous. I read that others were offered discounts because of excessive delays.

    I got a 10% discount. Just ask to be transferred to the complaint department... they should be able to take care of you.

    That's crazy! 2 months for a laptop, especially when everyone else is receiving theirs in about a months time which is still ridiculous. I think you definately lost the lottery on this one!

    What's holding up your laptop? I would call Lenovo and ask them for a 10-15 percent discount for the inconvience. ;)

    Called them on Friday, waited for 30 minutes nobody answered, on the weekends they are closed. Will keep calling on Monday.

    Good luck on monday...took me forever to get through just on thursday... Then especially with everyone calling about the T61 and such... My suggestion, try calling up Johnathan, and avoid the wait...

    Ok, called today waited for 40 minutes on the phone got Chris on the line, she said that nobody will is available to help me with my complain and she will put urgent message to supervisor and they will call me back today or tomorrow.
    Now every time when I am calling Johnathan getting his answering machine. Can anybody advice me something. I would love to receive discount for waiting so long but apparently they have different things in mind.

    Help.

    Called today, here is what rep told me
    People who are still waiting from April their laptops will be shipped at the last week of May, or max first week of Jun. And I did ask about discount, he could not connect me to "complain" department but said that he will create a case with my complain, and my sales rep will be calling me in next two days.

    Now! After waiting on a line for 40-60 minutes I dont think that they will call back, as I am not sure if I will get any type of discount. Will keep informing you on my order.

    Again. Ordered 4/24 est 5/18 changed to 6/17
    T60p WSXGA 15.4

    PS. Also he said that email with est date is almost like randomly generated. And dates that you can find on order status is not actual to. He also said that if I would have to wait until 6/17 I will receive an email saying that est change to 7/17.

    When I called to complain they tried to schedule a call back and I told them I wanted to speak with someone right away. They did connect me with someone right then who was much more helpful. I don't think the rep that you were speaking with really knew what he was talking about.

    I know you have already spent lots of time trying to get in touch with them but I would be diligent and keep trying. The way that they are treating you is absurd and I think you should get at least a 15% discount for it. When you get through next time I would demand to speak to somebody in the complaints department and if they won't transfer you ask to speak with their manager.

    One of his answers was that if he would connect me with complain department but there is nothing what they can do, because screens will be there only at the and month. Like my call not going to change anything.

    Definitely keep trying. They may not be able to do anything about when they get the panels (if that's what is really holding it up), but they can sure do something as some sort of compensation. When you do get through, just tell them what the situation is, what's happened, and then I would ask something along the lines of "What can Lenovo do to make this right?". What has happened with your order definitely qualifies as rediculous.

    Thanks for support, I will keep trying. It is hard to seat on the phone at work on hold for 40 min, today spend all my lunch doing that. But $200 of my order defenetly will make me happy.

    i ordered my T60 yesterday through my friend's employee discount...the total came up to (with tax and a case) - $1,411.32 CDN. i don't suppose i can get price protection...and I am not looking forward to the wait.

    Ok here is last updates on my order. As I already told I called in and complain about delay on my order, and today in the morning I got an email from Lenovo saying that I received 5% discount of my total which is $85.

    It is not 200 as I was expecting but still guys.

    I think I have a good deal now.

    Now I just need to wait... and wait and wait some more. :)
