Ok.... I'm freaking out..... does ANYONE have any idea what should I do if my keyboard only select VOWEL with accents... like this:
https://ibb.co/kaCnEv [\IMG]
Example: áíííúúáéé
I just started the x5 v7.... even with a Bluetooth keyboard, it reacts the same...

I'm on 1.8.1 with no issues.
Regarding Audio EQ, does it close when you hit the X? Mine closes but i can see the icon on the taskbar still running. My X7 didn't have this issue. -
When I close Audio EQ by using the X, I do not show it in Notifications.

I am buying cheap keyboard from the shop and plug into my computer and work properly, no need to update anything!
I don't know how popular Gigabyte laptop at overseas but from Taiwan , seen not many people buying and shops don't recommend Gigabyte as well.
Asus, MSI, Dell don't have keyboard issue why Aorus has? -
Strange... when I plugged a Bluetooth keyboard the letter R behaved strange for a bit... when I pressed it a few times the laptop didn't register any keys for a few seconds a few times. But now it's it registers fine...
Not sure if that could be a clue for some software problem or just unluck...
Of course the letter R on the laptop still go crrrrrazy...
Keyboard v 1.1.9 is still the same........... -
I guess last thing to try is to reinstall windows 10 or should I try something else before?
-
Anyone speak to this system? Current 17r4 user 7820hk and 1080gtx. However the thermals are too much and my third replacement is being returned.
Looking for advice. How are the thermals on this system? -

Does the trackpad has some known issue? once in a while presses stop getting recorded and need restart of system... (or wait a minute)
I'll see with Aorus rep if a windows re-install get things solved. (need to be sure I get all programs links) -
My x7 DT responded the same with the 1.1.9 update. All keys were off by one. Wouldn't resolve even with complete reset to factory settings. Got it working again by installing 1.1.3 which I think reset the keyboard in bios.
Also have the 'r' key problem. If I slightly brush my finger over the r key it rrrrregisters keystrokes (not depressing key). Frustrating when trying to type in passwords.
Hardware issue? -

I'm using 1.1.9 keyboard firmware and no issues, it actually fixed an issue where ctrl+shift+n didn't register when I got the laptop with 'stock' firmware. 1.2.0 has been released, but haven't had a chance to try it yet.

So Is the X5 MD going to have a 1440p 120hz screen?
Also curious for those with the X5 and X7 dt v7? Compared to the 17r4 what types of issues are being seen. I went through 3 replacements and one on site replacement of the 17r4 and just gave up. -
If your laptop is cool (at startup), it doesn't do it. Or what do you think?
Before I couldn't do Rctrl + C or V for example.
However Rshift + second row from bottom still don't work... ( so \zxcvbnm,./ isn't working)RMXO likes this. -

So, I hate to be another one to mention the keyboard in a negative light, but the spacebar (which sounds different/loud compared to all the other keys) likes to not register a click unless it's hit hard, harder then what I am use to, and harder than all the other keys. This is especially true when hit right in the center, which is how I hit it when I use my right thumb. It seems as though I can recreate the issue with some other keys as well (especially the F row), but they're not nearly as bad. It seems as though the key activation is extremely deep, so you can actually press down the key and feel the mechanical feedback, but it won't get registered unless you press harder; in other words, you can press the key all the way down, and without depressing the key, continue to keep pressing down to register clicks. It's a shame since the keyboard is otherwise excellent; I really like the travel distance, layout, comfort, and the silence of the keys (except for the loud spacebar). Do note that if you're a hard typer, this would not be an issue for you.
On a side note, not sure if this was part of the recent 4.0.3 update to Command and Control, but the GPU OC steps (1-4) are now: 10, 20, 30, 50. So with the stock at GPU Clock at 1443 (1645 Boost),on step for you'll get 1493 (1695 Boost). Personally not a fan of this continually changing with different versions, and I'd personally recommend using a different utility for OCing until Aorus updated C&C to allow for saving of custom profiles.
Due to the spacebar, I'll likely do a replacement of this laptop and hope the next doesn't exhibit the issue (and would be nice if it had less light bleed). -
My Keyboard also takes more force than I was used to. I now can type decent but still miss a few strokes from not hitting the key hard enough.
@Derek712 verified that the keys required more force to register, He has the values listed in his review. -
I'm curious if others with the x5 v7 could check if they're able to press the spacebar without it being registered, especially when pressed in the middle of the spacebar. -
Hopefully Gigablows fixes the issue, seems like more than just a few people have a problem?

From reading various forums post of people who have keyboard issues, could be a combo of both.Darkhan likes this. -

mine does not have any issues, I just had a learning curve but I type fine now.
If you are buying from Xotic and having them CLU the CPU, then I would have them test the keyboard as well.hmscott likes this. -
Issues like this are why I always end up buying laptops for under $1,000. If you're going to make me shell out top dollar, I do not expect to be making very many compromises. Once the Intel 9260 wifi cards are out, I'm going to throw one into my Y410p, repaste it while I'm inside, and keep rolling with it for another year or two.

Is they keyboard jamming working as intended for not being an anti ghosting keyboard? Trying to figure this out before pulling the trigger. It would seem that is it a hardware issue not software issue?

If their track record means anything, revisions of the keyboard firmware are being released but being able to fix all the issues is another story. At least they are trying with the release of firmware updates.

I'm still going to buy one though even though I've had bad luck with them.Darkhan likes this. -

Regarding the keyboard issue, the max firmware revision that is stable as of now is 1.1.8. 1.1.9 has been killing a lot of keyboards lately
