Lol. I've forgotten, which one?
I just found out that the Samsung LTN156HL01-102
100% sRGB
72% NTSC
And an amazing response time of 16ms.
Now that is something to think about![]()

I read something about Samsung screens are IPS but not called IPS so yeah.
Okay i think I've made up my mind on a Samsung display. Not the AU Optronics one anymore. I have long ago, cancelled the idea of an LG screen. Now the question is which Samsung screen?
1. LTN156HL01-102
2. LTN156HL02-201
3. LTN156HL06-C01
4. LTN156HL01-C01

However LTN156HL01-102 mentioned about 3 or 4 times. Something to think about. No?

Well, I'm about to order the screen. I don't know if it's available yet. If it isn't. I'll find an alternative.

Guys I really need your help. I did something stupid (installed windows 10 login wallpaper chnager) and now my Dell gets a black screen when I turn it on.
It says on the internet that to fix it I need a bootable windows 10 on a USB?? I didn't make a back up of it so how would I get the windows 10 files for this???
Also how do I get to BIOS?
Please need your help -
Btw, that's why i didn't try changing that pic. I hate those type of apps. Anyways. If you want to get the Windows 10 actual ISO. Just set Mozilla firefox to open in Windows XP compatibility mode.
Then visit this link - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO and you will get the download link for the ISO of the latest windows 10. Get the 64bit one of course. -
Onimusha11,
You can download the Windows recovery Image from Dell Drivers & Download site.
In that way you can get the drivers too...although you might need to update them afterwards.
Also, to get into BIOS you have to press the F2 key continuously at startup. -
Thanks again guys a managed to fix it.
I aint doing that crazy sh*t again!Last edited: Jan 19, 2016 -
http://laptopmedia.com/news/asus-fi...ung-ips-panels-on-rog-g551-notebooks-with-lg/
That's a strike for the 156HL01-102, but the question is do the other panels suffer from the same flickering issue? Keenly following this as I want to replace the subpar screen once mine arrives (yet another buyer who hasn't received it yet). -
I already saw this link a few hours ago. I am considering getting the LTNHL06-C01 now. If not the said display is still good. I am still checking. It's not an easy decision. I also saw an Acer Nitro review praising the LP156WF6-SPB1. So confusing lol. -
Also, I am having problems finding sites that will actually sell you a LTN156HL01-102 for example.
It looks like all the sites are only selling COMPATIBLE screens, so they might not be legit Samsung screens, just an AUO equivalent etc.
Panelook.com lists the HL06-C01 as zero stock. -

Where are you buying it from? If you don't mind me asking. I'm actually undecided between the AUO and Samsung. I would prefer the Samsung naturally but I haven't found anywhere that has it in stock, and it's a legitimate Samsung panel.
-
I haven't got the price for the LTN156HL06-C01 yet but i think it's $65 at MAX!
Shipping not included. Depends on ur country, can get it shipped for Free or you have to pay. But since it's a screen and needs to be handled with extra care... Yeah. Fees should apply.
It's from Aliexpress.com however, u need to know a legit seller or else you buy a bad product or they just send you a 'compatible screen'. I know a great seller. Just PM me bro. Cheers!

Well, I've ordered the LTN156HL06-C01. Apparently it's supposed to be better thab the LTN156HL01-102. As it has more colours. Seller says its's scarce in the market. The more scarce, the better.
I hope he actually has it tho. He says he does. Haha! xD

Which LTN156HL06-C01 version did you order? Matte or Glare?
-
Hello everyone, I am also looking to buy the Samsung LTN156HL06-C01 panel for my 7559. I am in the UK. Nobody seems to have it in stock, or they say they will send you a "compatible" panel. Stuff that. Can anybody help? Don't mind having it shipped from the EU.
-
The only place I've found till now is from the link which was posted by Tensai47:
http://www.laptopscreen.com/English/screen-part-number/LTN156HL06-C01/
They have some matte versions in stock in Seattle and Vancouver, but they ships worldwide.
The glare version is not in stock at all.
I 'm searching myself too at this moment. If I find other place to buy I'll report it back to this forum. -
I eventually went with a different seller that showed the actual model number in a picture, the price was almost half of the first seller, but it was "used". The item arrived exactly as described, and the screen was perfect in every regard. The seller I used on eBay was PMVision. I highly recommend them. Fast shipment, and they actually ship the correct item in the listing and not some "compatible" screen. -

that M.2 slot looks like M.2 PCIe instead M.2 Sata III.
am i right?
M.2 Sata looks like this (three pins):
M.2 PCIe looks like this (two pins):
the M.2 slot on Dell Inspiron 5779 looks like it has 2 pins, instead 3.
so does Inspiron 5779 supports M.2 PCIe SSD? -
-
-
but how 3 pins M.2 card could fit into 2 pins slot? -
Hahaha! And suddenly everybody wants an LTN156HL06-C01. xD
Buy from China. Best option. Gets to you in less than 2 weeks if you are in Europe and 1 week to US i think. Cheers.
This is my first matte screen and i don't like glossy already.

Read the review - http://laptopmedia.com/review/dell-...he-gaming-arena-became-even-more-spectacular/
It's the second con mentioned besides the screen. SATA III mate.marhensa likes this. -
The connector sadly has nothing to do with it, it's the way it's pinned and to what chipset. SATA only in this case.
I suspect even though the 7559 is a skylake CPU, the internal chipset is an older model that dell has lifted straight into this laptop model, thus saving on design costs and able to offer the laptop cheaper.
Most proper PCI X4 lane'd NVMe capable laptop are DDR4 as well, so much newer chipset. Can someone fire up CPU-Z and confirm what chipset the 7559 is running?marhensa likes this. -
well I guess we have to stick with SATA III M.2 SSD (6 Gb/s or 750 MB/s) speed then.
it's still fast enough, though.
thank you.Stanley08 likes this. -
Yeah I was hell bent on getting something with PCIe so I could throw a 950 pro at it, but ultimately here in Australia there's nothing around that isn't worth the value of getting, or is marginally out of my price range (XPS 15).
There's a few contenders in the Asus range but they are very regional specific, not global models with very few reviews on them, so I don't have as much confidence buying them for support.marhensa likes this. -
Can u plz provide the Chinese website from where u ordered the samsung screen?
I'm thinking to change my screen too once my dell arrives...
Cannot PM u due to new member restrictions
