And one more thing, does the keyboard have flex? Something like when you press the keys, the keyboard sinks. (I can't really explain "flex" at all. Lol) -
Keyboard has a little flex if you press it, but during normal typing it is not noticeable to me, but i think it depends on how much your fingers press, i tend to type softly to be faster, maybe if you use much force you could notice it. Overall i think it's a great keyboard, i got used to it very fast!

But do you type like the hulk?
Do you sit on your laptop?
Do you like to know how much you can bend it?
I'm guessing no. To all of them. As long as you are not in the Justice League, you'll be fine
P.S: If you are looking for a perfectly sturdy, durable laptop, this is not for you. It is made of plastic. Plastic bends. This is a budget laptop, corners were cut.
You should increase ur budget and get like the latest Asus ROG or MSI Gaming Series

Hi guys ... just giving some feed back, I bought the screen from the link provided by Talon (who I want to say thanks for giving me some tips about changing the screen) The screen is the one that the seller announces, and I think it was a good investment, you can clearly see the differences between The LG and the BOE, specially in brightness
HWINFO gives the following information
Monitor Name: LG Philips LP156WF6
Monitor Name (Manuf): LG Display LP156WF6-SPB1
Serial Number: Unknown
Date Of Manufacture: Week: 0, Year: 2014
Monitor Hardware ID: Monitor\LGD046F
I just need to calibrate it and I bet is going to be really good. Changing the screen is not difficult just takes a little bit of time. and my second RAM arrives tomorrow with that my computer will be complete -
Only me has a broken lp156wF6.

The biggest benefit of his screen is the brightness and response times. Yes colors are much much better, but the response times and brightness were biggest on my list of needs. The 25ms vs 30 or even 35ms is huge. It's the best IPS screen as far as response times go and this will be important to anyone that plays fast paced games or watching movies with lots of action scenes. It's a very worthy investment and makes the laptop very premium with that simple change.
Edit: I will link the calibration file when I get to the hotel tonight. -

30ms response time and an 8bit panel with a contrast ratio of 800:1. It says on the spec sheet that it doesn't have an antiglare finish but for some reason, a website is selling the panel with antiglaren finish. -
Found this model for $118 or so on one site. Lol. Too much.

It's a little over the budget @ $68. But it's worth it. -

So even through the hardware connector is the same - M.2, NVMe SSD won't work here. 7559 is a budget laptop at under USD 1K. The higher end NVMe is packaged with the premium laptop Dell XPS 15 2015 which can go till USD 2K.

Hey guys what about this screen? ' B156HTN03.0'
I don't know if the description on Panelook is correct. See the link here - http://www.aliexpress.com/item/new-...E11-N156HGE-EB1-LP156WF4-SPB1/1901369031.html

On the Inspiron 7559, when I tried to clone the bigger 1TB HDD to a smaller 512GB SSD, it wasn't allowing me to. So I had to copy over partitions instead of a straightaway clone. Windows works perfectly, however, the recovery functionality is broken.
Creating a recovery media on 7559, or Windows 10 doesn't work either (not just me but a lot of other people on the Internet), so I got Dell to send me a USB recovery drive instead. If I need to recover in the future, I can do a fresh install or use a copy or the recovery media.

Hi, this is my first post in this forum
. I just received my new inspiron 7559 UHD version, and I have a problem with the screen.
The screen brightness flicker when menus changes from white colors to other colors (when i move the mouse).
I downloaded and installed all drivers, I reset also from factory settings and it still happening. I also found drivers from the hd graphics and i found that there is a driver from our hd graphics 530 from the 23 of december and dell hasn´t got this version of it website ( HERE).
In this page you can see that the log says "flickering issues". I think this driver is the solution but we cant update becuse is not signed by dell . My question is: Do you have this problem?. I should call dell for a new laptop?.
Sorry for my english.
EDIT : I finally forced to install lastest drivers of hd graphics and the screen still flickering, this Monday i will call Dell support assistanceLast edited: Jan 16, 2016 -
Hi,
I'm interested in this notebook, was planning to get the 1080p with i5-6300hq. but the review on this 1080p screen is particularly bad and most of the reviewers put a score of 60-70% srgb. I've looked into laptopscreen dot com and it has the 1080p replacement screen available as well as the 4k screen which is out of stock at the moment. I wonder if the 1080p screen from laptopscreenDotCom has the same srgb as the dell 7559 stock lcd screen?? I will be doing a lot of graphics while some gaming on the run in the future. -

AU Optronics B156HAN01.2
Maximum: 301 cd/m²
Average: 274.3 cd/m²
Brightness Distribution: 85 %
Center on Battery: 286 cd/m²
Black: 0.24 cd/m²
Contrast: 1192:1
SRGB %: 91-95% sRGB (depending on calibration)
LG LP156WF6-SPB1:
Maximum: 320 cd/m²
Average: 283.2 cd/m²
Brightness Distribution: 83 %
Center on Battery: 320 cd/m²
Black: 0.32 cd/m²
Contrast: 1000:1
sRGB: 72-80%
And Samsung 156HL01-102 Which has sRGB of around 97 to 100%. With contrast of 1050:1.
Brightness should be around 300 cd/m²
The AUO costs around 70$ for me, the Samsung and LG costs 80$.
However the ranking is:
156HL01-102 > B156HAN01.2 > LP156WF6-SPB1
Samsung > AUO > LG.
However i think I'll go for the AUO. Bang for Buck. Cheers!

is it hard opening the cover and change this screen on 7559? -
http://www.laptopscreen.com/English/screen-part-number/LTN156HL06-C01/
It has a high contrast ratio, 30ms response time, 8-bit panel compared to the lg screen panel compatible with dell 7559 which is only 6-bit. And on top of that, it's a PLS(Samsung's IPS). SAMSUNG makes the best screen after all. On the link I provided above, there's a matte finish option for the panel. You ca also see in the link that it has 72% color gamut.
See this (a video where a man replaces his lenovo with the samsung LTN156HL06 but you can also opt for a matte finish) it's in japanese tho. Lol:
You can see the specs here: http://www.panelook.com/LTN156HL06-C01_Samsung_15.6_LCM_parameter_24666.html -

oh cool thanks for the info.
btw 72% color gamut means 100% srgb? -

You know what they say, if it's good enough... Buy it twice!
(Lol nobody actually says that, and it's for my friend xD. Just bought it)

Just Btw, it's cheaper to buy the i5 one and replace with a better display (less than $100)

This could be the reason why some FHD ones have LG Displays and others BOE.
Mine is the one on the right (1262BLK) with Windows 10 Professional. And it has BOE screen. Yet to confirm the one on the left. (Too tired to set it up)
When i do, you all will know

Does anyone know a good setting for maxxaudio pro?
The speakers are crap when I turn it off, but still it doesn't sound too good when its on. -
Well, i can confirm to you guys that both computers have the BOE screen. Will order new screens online soon

Hey Guys,
Over here in Aus we can get the i7 version but with either FHD or UHD. I'm leaning towards FHD since I will use it for gaming and my experience with apps that don't scale on my wife's XPS 11 (2560x1440) isn't so great (although it looks great when it does).
I'm under the impression all FHD screens are BOE? If so I'll probably end up swapping mine out for something that's a lot more colour accurate (will be using photoshop/editing often).
Also our cheapest i7 version is 1TB spindle drive only, so I'm looking at msata 2280 SSD's. Samsung 850 evo looks the most reasonable over here.Stanley08 likes this. -
Getting an LG screen is seriously a toss up. I got an LG screen on the third i7559 laptop that I got.
My first laptop came from Frys and was the 1tb Hybrid Drive 8gb drive with a BOE screen. My second laptop was from Amazon with the 256gb SSD and had a BOE screen as well. My third and final keeper laptop was from Amazon as well and was the 256gb SSD and had the LG screen.
IMO the LG screen that comes with this laptop is better in color but much much dimmer than the BOE screen. The BOE screen with some calibration is much better because it is much brighter.
I have the spare LG display sitting in a box now and it will remain there unless I decide to sell it. For those that are interested, the model is as follows:
LP156WF6 SP M1 -
And AUO seems like the best choice now. In terms of Bang for buck. The LP156WF6-SPB1 costs more but the AUO is better. Better colors, Better Blacks, Better contrast.
LG LP156WF6-SPB1 = 72 to 80% sRGB, Contrast - 1000:1
AUO B156HAN01.2 = 91 to 95% sRGB, Contrast - 1192: 1
I'll get that or the slightly better SDC324C 156HL01-102 from Samsung (WHAT A DISPLAY), It's beautiful. 97 to 100% sRGB. It's something. Contrast is around 1110:1
Found it on my friend's Asus Republic Of Gamers laptop. Maybe I'll just steal it

I'm interested in the Samsung LTN156HL06-C01 display for replacing the LGD04B9 screen. It seems to be a very nice bright screen (300cd/m²) with a high color gamut (72% NTSC, 8bit) available in Glare and Antiglare.
My question: Has anyone already build this Samsung LTN156HL06-C01 8bit display into his/here Inspiron 7559? If yes, can you please share your experiences? Is it full compatible? -
-
I'm still here thinking of the screen to get lol. Heard some bad things about the AU Optronics B156HAN01.2 also. Reading through the Y50 replacement display thread. But from the looks of it, A Samsung screen is the way to go. Question now is which one? I'm shipping this from China to Nigeria. So i have to get it right.
