Don't go there just clean install, that's the best and you will see the true speed with the NVME installed.

What BIOS version are you running?
Nvidia clean install or partly upgrade?

I am using BIOS 1.04 and new Nvidia version 378.78 and no issues with it.

    Hi,
Question to the guys with the UHD display, have you experienced any backlight bleeding on the screen (in the corners etc..., screenshot would be appreciated)?
I'm considering the UHD model so your feedback would be most welcome?
    Cheers

The only anomaly i have experienced is a diagonal line across the screen when gaming. Otherwise the screen is fantastic. I cannot game in 4K as the GTX960 wont cut the mustard. 1080P is rocking though. 4K is a novelty and kinda redonk on a 15 inch laptop. Dell put together suvh a sweet deal i couldnt refuse. Overall i am very pleased with the laptop. Price vs performance and it looks real nicd too.

What are the Inspiron 7567 CPU/GPU temps under heavy load?
I was looking at Legion Y520 - but in the video review I saw CPU going near 100C ...

    Dell Inspiron 14 7000 and 15 7000 Gaming System BIOS 1.05

    Fixes & Enhancements
    Fixes:
    - Not Applicable.

    Enhancements:
    - Updated SATA AHCI mode Support.

    http://www.dell.com/support/home/us...7-laptop&languageCode=du&categoryId=BI&lwp=rt

So AHCI mode is working when running an NVME drive and or SATA drive.
Be carefull when reverting from RAID to AHCI reboot in safe mode is needed so the new controller software will be installed by default from within Windows.
After the update and new mode selection adjust the controller by installing the correct driver from vendor or intel website.

Question about screen resolution and scaling. Are you using FHD resolution or scaled 4K resolution in Windows 10 for your everyday tasks? I have read that lots of apps display blurry text when run in scaled 4K (AutoCAD in particular)?

Daily use scaled 4k resolution in Windows

Received this laptop a few days ago with the FHD TN panel. So far, I love it. It's a bit on the heavy side, but I really like the design and the specs for the money.

The TN panel is pretty bad, I can live with it for the time being but as soon as the new feeling wears off I will replace it with a FHD IPS panel.

Also, the battery life of this laptop is insane for a laptop with specs like this.

So the correct sequence should be:
    -update bios
-go on bios setup and change from RAID to AHCI
-reboot to safe mode? Will the system install the needed driver by himself?
could you point me to the correct driver from Intel to install afterwards? I suppose all the Inspiron 7567 have the same one

oh and another question about what driver to update, is there a program by Dell to check if I need to upgrade some drivers? Just received the unit (4k version with 512 Toshiba SSD) and I'm not sure which driver I should update (some of them do not have a very easy version check)

Optional you can load Intel drivers when needed, the Intel RST drive isn't needed when setup is in AHCI mode and you are using an NVME M.2 drive becasue it will use a different Windows driver.

Intel driver is optional, when your RIG is setup with the extra SATA disk you might install the RST driver only or load the full Intel RST software package.

thank you very much, I managed to switch to AHCI easily :) I will post some bench for the toshiba ssd soon so that people can see the difference!

Another question if you don't mind: would it be possible according to you to replace the Intel AC 3165 wifi card? I just got upgraded to gigabit fiber and I would like to replace the wifi card with a 2x2 AC one... is it possible?

Has someone replaced the FHD TN panel on the 7567 with a FHD IPS panel (AUO, LG or Samsung)? If so, does the brightness control still work as with the original panel?

I would like to replace the panel with an IPS panel because the stock FHD panel is really bad.

Does anyone know what the icon means which is on the S key?
When pressing the FN key with the H key the battery charge LED will function as an HDD/SSD indicator, didn't know this for real (read the manual) after the reboot the LED indicator is back to normal again
