    I ordered "Dell Studio-15" on 10/06/2010 the "sales person" sent/mail me the "Quotation" & "Account detail" the same day, I transferred the amount mentioned in "Quotation" on 11/06/2010 by "NEFT" Same day (11/06/2010,Friday) evening I called the "sales person" but he told me the "Payment not received" till then.They have "Saturday & Sunday off".

    Please some one tell me-
    1. Is NEFT takes more than 1 day time to transfer the fund/money.
    (As the amount debited from my account same day )
    2. I'm checking the order status (In Dell India website) by using "Quotation
    no." which I got from "sales person" but it's showing ""The information that
    you provided was invalid....." message.
    Please tell me what may be the problem.
    3. I transfer the money only in the basis of "Quotation" which "sales person"
    sent to me.Is there any other thing I should get from them
    (Receipt,Payment confirmation document or some thing else)


    Please some1 tell me what's the "step by step" process from "Placing order" to get "Delivery of Product"

    purchase item- dell studio laptop 15"
    order recieved on 22/06/2010
    my order status was till yesterday (26/6/2010) by inserting Order Number & customer code was WORK IN PROGRESS and EDD was 12/7/2010 but todays with same varification data my order status displays "The information that you provided was invalid, please key in the correct information from step 1 to step 3 again"
    please help me regarding this. i am really worried.

    now my lappy is with bluedart office since 2 days which is 2 hrs of distance from my place.1st day- coz it was ALL INDIA SHUTDOWN
    2nd day-- coz blue dart wants 300/- more for home delivery. according to them they have no record tat i hv alraedy paid 900/- to dell for express delivery.n now nobody there to hear this problem or with any solution. IS THIS HAPPENS IN INDIA ONLY ?

    hi.. i ordered dell laptop on 3rd july... i got estimate delivery date on 12/07/10..
    yesterday i checked with the bluedart website... it showed pickup date as 09/07/10.. n estimate delivery date as 10/07.... from today morning its showing status as
    Linehaul Delayed; Accident/Traffic-Jam Contact Customer Service
    what should i do??? should i call them or wait till monday??

    Until 9th july fri evening it was @ Arrived in Main Hub.
    By 5.30 it said Dispatch to local courier - 6th. Then today the 10th of Jul it says Delivered - 7th july ?? Wat the heck .... i dnt receive anything yet and its saturday i can get back to the cust support only on monday... Saddest Order Tracking ever....

    Also prefixed 78 to my order number and tried to track on blue dart . Result : No matching Waybill/Reference Number/Order Number. Tried using the quotation num too nothing same result.

    you should immediately talk to the dell representative and put your case strongly because if the delivery gets much late, they should provide you free upgrades!

    Oh , may be thats why they've created a record stating that it was delivered on 7th x_X somethings fishy ill get to the customer care right away tomorrow morning. Thanks :)

    Hello friends, i send 4 DD to dell last Monday. They received it on next day that is on 27.07.10. So they placed all 4 orders on same day.
    They mailed me order acknowledgement and mentioned in it, i will get my laptop by 10th august.

    I m checking their status site whole week, all my other three friends got Estimated delivery date and their order is release to manufacturing. Only my status is still order received.

    Today 1 week will get complete, when my order got placed.

    So Plz help me, what should i do in this case?

    Hi ,
    I have booked Studio 15 Laptop on 1st Aug 2010. Initially my Order was cancelled. Later new Order number was generated.
    Now the EDD shows up as 30 Aug 2010.
    Since 22nd Aug, the Status is 'Manufacturing build completed' .

    Within 3 days is it possible to move from Manufacturing build completed stage to Delivered ??

    I too have booked a Dell studio 14. I made payment through netbanking on 26th July 2010. For 3 days, I was told they are not able to track my payment. Finally order was released to factory on 30th July. Status showed manufacturing build complete on 21st August. I was told that they did not have the key boards and hence the delay... Wonder what inventory management for critical components do they follow! Since then the status has not changed till today, i.e 28th August 2010. I have been given to understand that for the last 8 days their "Invoice Generation Tool" is not working. God only knows whatever that complicated machinery is. Is it so that all orders of Dell are held up for last week because of this?
    The sales representatives are highly uncooperative. Most of the time you are put on hold by some computer. Then they will make your query jump through many desks, and to each one you have to explain your problem. I am fed up of this; and want to cancel my order. My only worry is, they are going to sit on my refund also saying "Refund Generating Tool" or some such stuff is not working. Anyone with a successful Dell refund experience?
    They are not replying to my e-mails.

    I've sent 4 mails to the Sales guys enquiring the status. Only after I wrote a mail in a serious tone :rolleyes: I got a response today morning.

    The reply was absurd. The lady was saying that there were "Some" software issues and all deliveries are hence delayed.

    The Store guys to whom I gave the Order were hopeless. They know nothing. All they say is "more" two days. I am totally dissatisified at their service.

    Me too placed an order on 11 Aug through Net banking it came into Manufacturing Build Complete on 25th Aug. From then it is not moving any further. I called Dell Sales person with whom I made the purchase.. He told me that it stuck due to some problem in "Invoice Generation Tool".
    They've lots of excuses for the delays...
    I'm fade up of the delivery process of Dell. What delivery date they've quoted on the quotation is not the actual date of delivery.
    My delivery date is 01 Sep, but I'm not sure whether I'm going to get this on time. Because its not showing on Blue Dart's website till now.
    Very bad experience with the Dell Sales and Customer Support.

    Called them up again. Scolded them in English at first. Later in Hindi after which I am satisfied :cool:

    Some guy in the Store picked the call and said it could further delay upto 7 Sep. I called Customer Care Toll Free several times, but no use. As one of you said, they listen (rather hear) the problem and pass the call to another dumb fellow.

    Their service is pathetic.

    SKD, it should not be called Dell Customer "Care", because they simply dont care {They seem to follow the tagline "To hell with customers"}... they donot care for the e-mails, they dont reply to any complaints except an autoreply mail; their sales executives donot pickup the calls; and if at all you get to connect to some moron of Hell with customer department, they simply toss the call from one desk to another and each one is better that the earlier one on the dumbness index. You get fed up of explaining problem to everyone in the line and hangup with a headache. I thought seriously of canceling the order, but the way these guys behave, they may sit on my money for months.... I just dont have faith in them. I feel thoroughly cheated and stuck in web. I asked the guys whether the machine booked on 26th July can be delivered by 30th September for sure......... the dumbos of not sure of that too!!

    Hey guys its totally amazing.. On friday I was in office and suddenly my roommate called me and said that your laptop has arrived..
    Without any confirmation mail, phone they just delivered it.
    But its fine for me..
    But still my Dell Order Status page shows "Manufacture Build Completed". And also there is one change in my order, I've ordered Targus Synergy Backpack and they delivered something else.. For this I'm gonna talk to the sales person.

    And also the BlueDart page is not showing my information when I'm prefixing "78" before my order number in ref because they have changed the policy (Probably for me).
    For me the reference number: <My Order Number>
    You should also try the following method to track your shipping in BlueDart.

    Now to check your status on BlueDart page do the following:
    1. Open Blue Dart Express Limited
    2. Check the "Ref no" radio button.
    3. Enter your Order Number, without any prefix.
    4. Press Go...

    For me the page is showing:
    Pickup Date: 02 September 2010
    From: Chennai
    To: Chennai
    Status: SHIPMENT DELIVERED
    Date of Delivery: 03 September 2010
    Time of Delivery: 13:00

    Hope this information helps.. By the way laptop is really nice.. Including the build quality.. I'm impressed :) .. Except for the backpack, I need to talk to them :mad: ..

    bt still i am nt able to get my laptop. and they give me such an hopeless answer.

    I am experiencing worst time of my life waiting for my order to come. No support is being provided by the customer service executives. I am receiving all sort of replies from the executives such as:
    1. It is pending clearance from the customs.
    2. It has been shipped and pending at the local carrier
    3. There is a huge backlog of orders which will take some time to clear.

    Please note that I placed an ordered with Dell on August 19,2010. The salesperson told that the estimated delivery time for the order will be 7-8 days. It has been more than 15 days now and it seems that neither she nor the customer support executives I talked to have any clue about my order and estimated delivery date. The support website(dell.co.in/status) says "Estimate Delivery Date: To be advised. Please check this site at later time." The status there is stuck at: Manufacturing Build Complete from Aug 25,2010.

    It has been really a frustrating experience with Dell Customer Support. Neither can they speak in correct english nor are they capable of giving any concrete information. They are just good at making excuses and misguiding the customer.

    Whats your order status on dell.. if it has passed the manufacturing complete status start checking the bluedart website for status.....
    mine is still in the work in progress status.

    They are saying that all the orders with back lit keyboard are currently in waiting as backlit is out of stock.... they will get the stock on 13TH this month

    They might be right with this reason as i have seen all the orders with 9 cell battery or backlit keyboard do tend to get delayed.This has been my personal experience. My dad's vostro 3400 and brothers XPS both with backlit took a month to get delivered.

    While all the inspirons or stdio14/15 without the above upgrades.... ordered by my cousins were delivered in 7-14 days....

    The bad news is i have upgraded both the options along with full HD and i7.
    Whats your order and order date. Do let us when it reaches/has reached the manufacturing build stage.

    Please check it your delivery date status at bluedart's website. After the MBC stage they do not update the dell website.

    Ordered on 12th of august.
    EDD was 6th of septmber.
    and still i havent received product yet.

    Finally I am able to see the tracking details on blue dart website. However on status site of dell(dell.co.in/status) its still showing the same i.e. Manufacturing Build Complete.
    It took me 21 days to know the whereabouts of my status. Truly, its a bad bad service. I advice all then troubled customers of dell to raise the issue on dell support forums. There is one person by name of Robert, he is the official dell representative. I mailed him and he escalated the issue to dell escalation team. Though, I didn't receive any call, but I received an email + now its showing something about my order.
    So it worked for me.
    Still I am keeping my fingers crossed as now I don't trust dell. Just hoping for the best.

    I was on the phone with a Dell Rep in India last night. I ordered my Dell Inspiron 1545 back in April and it never worked right from the day I received it. I even paid the $89 (I think) to have a rep try to troubleshoot my laptop over the phone, to no avail.

    Last night I opened up the back to check the memory. Dell somehow FORGOT to put the memory in the computer before it shipped!!!!!!!!!!

    It was supposed to have 3GB of RAM, it has 1 stick of 1 GB! I was totally furious, and the reps in India..

    They are sending me the memory, but I will never buy another Dell or anything Dell makes. I think my next laptop will be a MacBookPro. Screw Dell and their Customer Dis-Service, the thieving, incompetent bast...

    Dont know about that.... this is our 7th dell laptop and the only one that has taken more than 10 working days...
    really dont have any idea about what happens now...
    anyways what's your order status ???? After Manufacturing build stage the laptop is shipped the very next day and there's no use calling dell.
    Call bluedart instead.
