Anyone got their vostro?

Hope you guys get them as soon as possible, but can't we ask these two people (Australia,China) is there any problem about the screens?

Ordered 2 separate Vostro 1400's on July 13th. (1440x900/webcam/bt)
One just went into testing and boxing tonight. The other is still in the build stage but it was ordered a couple hours after the other one. Estimated ship date is August 6th.

According to my call history I've called the order status number over 60 times so far. :O

 

How can you track the call history?

 

Is there a # I can call for Canadian Customers?

I only track status of my vostro through the webpage they provided me with.

 

On my phone.

 

Spoke to a dell rep. He said that mine will be shipped anytime within the next 2-3 days. Mine is in transition from boxing to shipping stage. So hopefully I should get it early next week.

Build complete: July 23
Delivery time booked: August 2 (in 1 week exactly)

I'd have to say, that there doesn't seem to be any delay for orders ex Australia. I've ordered a 1500 with a WSXGA+ screen, with Camera, and the order seems to have been built and shipped rather quickly

The estimated delivery date was the 31st July, but seems to have been pushed back a day :-(

 

Finally mine is shipped thru DHL ground. I can't find the delivery date in DHL. It should take no more than 2 days from Nashville to Chicago, I guess.

If I have 2 systems with different ship date, theyll be shipped separately? (about 8 days difference) or 1 system will have to 'wait' for the other?

im a bit confused about this whole shipping with dhl thing. are these laptops already at Nashville, or are they on there way to Nashville from where every they were built

 

DHL ships them from Nashville.

 

i know that, i just dont know whether they physically have it in nashville, or is in route to nashville

 

i think they are in nashville, i checked my Fedex tracking number its leaving nashville now

 

I really won't feel bad milking Dell for some freebies now that I am seeing people who ordered after me with the same config are already getting their laptops shipped while mine is still sitting in the build stage.

It has sat in the build stage since I ordered it on the 14th. This is bull crap.

ordered the 11th, and a yesterday mine said it was in the build stage so there is still some hope for you

 

My 1400 is in the boxing stage since yesterday. Just my luck. It will ship out tomorrow and I won't get it until Monday...I was hoping to use it this weekend. Oh well....I'll just have to wait and see when it ships.

 

yep, mines in boxing from last night. I'll be happy if it comes anytime from now till wednesday.

 

ordered my 1500 7/19, currently in build stage, est ship date 8/15. My bro-in-law ordered almost the exact same PC the day before (I got the XGA+ screen, he got the basic screen) and his ship date is 8/10.

we'll see...

Mine's still in the build stage too. Ordered on the 16th. If lenovo sends me a shipping notice first on the t61, the dells getting canceled.

 

I ordered mine back on the 11th, but it probably won't ship until next week. The expected shipping date is my birthday, isn't that lame? Shouldn't my birthday present arrive earlier than everyone else's, not later?

Well, the estimated shipping date was always my birthday (the 31st). So I don't know if there was a particular reason it had to take this long, but for some reason my 1400 was in the testing stage for over almost 2 days. I just hope it will arrive by the end of next week.

 

geeze that sucks. Mine went so fast through testing that i didn't even know lol.

 

As long as it ships by the time they said it would I will be happy. I would just be a little happier if it shipped even sooner

 

Im expecting mine. fed ex says they'll have it here no later than 3 pm.

it says it has shipped and is in transit to the carrier. What exactly does that mean?

Also on dells site it says the estimated delivery is 8/1-8/3 what does it say for you guys. I dont have tracking number yet.

 

mine is just delayed. (ordered on 12 jul)
Set on pre production the same day and now suddenly pre production is 27 (very strange if you ask me, the days between 12 and 27 it was not in pre production in what stage was it then!)

The estimated arrival date is gone from 1 aug to 24 aug...

 

Check your order status after a couple of hrs, they will give a tracking number. Mine has an estd delivery date of 7/31-3/8 (with 3-5 shipping).

 

dells site says that it will arrive 8/1-8/3 that would be ground. I hope when i get the tracking it is Next Day business like i've had since i ordered it.

 

I ordered the $599 1500 on 7/19 for my wife, so far it still says that it is in the build stage. Est ship date is 8/14.

 

In the UK, a few people who ordered the Vostro 1000 on the day it came out have received theres.

lucky....mine made it to the depot near me this morning....but alas, i dont think they're smart/fast enough to put it on a truck today...boo.

i might have to sit here for 2 whole days while my laptop sits in a depot 20 miles from here.

the dell site now lists the XGA+ screen as having a 9 day delay. They must be getting pounded with "where's my vostro?" requests because all over the site is suggestions on how to get your laptop sooner, like ordering a latitude or vostro 1000...

 

SWEET! Mine shows up now as fedex standard next day. Delivery date is MOnday. Can't wait.

I'll actually be able to bring it on my trip to orlando on thursday.

 

Holy cow! I hope I get mine on monday too. But DHL doesn't show delivery date.
