    I'll see if NCIX gets the A1's in tomorrow! I paid for next day delivery so here's hoping that by Friday i'll have it.

    I had e-mailed my retailer here in Canada and got this as a response when I asked him about a shipping arriving at Asus. "I just talked to Asus and they know nothing about any shipment arriving. It's hearsay I'm afraid.

    The actual shipment date is the 11 and 16 of this month. Both small shipments with a undetermined number of units in each shipment.".

    Has anyone in Canada heard from their Canadian retailer?

    My guess is there may be a seperate Canadian ASUS facility? Because two reputable resellers have posted here saying that there is a shipment in at the ASUS facility in California (I believe).

    At this point, it probably is all just hearsay until the units actually go out from somewhere.

    Yes I did. I didn't even ask for them to upgrade the shipping, but it is a nice although small ($5 difference) for the shipping upgrade. I guess we'll find out in less than 3 days if they got them this week.

    This thread was started on Feb 15. I pr-ordered on Jan 5 and have still not
    received mine. I may well be the last one out of here at the rate things are
    going.One thing I do know for sure is that I will NEVER pre-order again.
    My reseller has had my money including next day shipping for 2 months.!!!
    If I don't hear anything soon he is going to be posted here so other members
    know about where NOT to pre-order. :mad:

    Delayed again... I should just be getting my news concerning ETA's from other retailers as NCIX has been notoriously inaccurate. No word yet on the new ETA for the A1.

    Save your typing efforts. The blame lies squarely with ASUS, not your reseller. What exactly did your reseller do specifically? My G73-A2 died 6 days after I received it. Does ExcaliberPC deserve to be flamed because of it? Of course not. Your reseller has absolutely NO control over how many G73's ship to them, and when.

    I understand you are frustrated, and have been waiting for 3 months, but the reseller wants to ship your lappy to you, just as bad as you want them to ship it.

    So, if they did some BTOTech shadyness, do tell! Otherwise, focus your frustration on the correct party.

    FINALLY, my A1 has shipped today! After reading pages and pages of everyone getting their G73 and wondering if I made a bad move by pre-ordering late Jan and paying in fully, I can finally celebrate!!!!! And the best part about it is that I got this beast for a total of $1525 (from excaliberpc, through ebay with bing cash back, and ebay bucks!!!!) Am I the first one to have this shipped :D? Now for the wait to get to my house! Hope there won't be problems with this one *crosses fingers!* ;)

    I know Asus is the problem, and what BTOTech did is really bad but my
    reseller has a serious customer service problem. To mention just a few
    He does not answer mail or return phone calls. Never been able to speak
    to anything but a machine. Order status unknown. I don't care if the lappy
    blows up the first day I get it. All I want is to be told something,anything,
    even lies, but NOTHING does not work for me. :)

    Oh yeah, your reseller has not given you the attention you deserve. You cetainly have cause for concern. Good luck to you, and I hope your reseller starts treating you with a little common courtesy and respect.

    Man, I forgot you had to send yours back too.

    To add insult to injury, if I would have sent mine back to ExcaliberPC, I would already have a tracking# for my replacement from them! LOL, I can't win for losin'. I sent an email to Tech Support about my RMA, and asked them to send me a jar of Vaseline when they return my notebook.

    I can't believe this, I guess I will get my A1 on the 12th of never! The only thing worse would be if I changed my pre-order to B@#Te$% 3 days ago. I am going to stop watching the news and say some prayers, I did see a video of a factory burning right before I threw a brick at my TV!
    Does anyone get out of this forum, or are we like the cast of LOST???

LOL Besides, I like hanging out in this thread with tough gritty people who can face anything life throws at them with sacred humor!! :) I heard the earths axis changed by like 3 inches due the the Chile earthquake so il be happy if I can just hold the laptop once prior to being flung out into space heheheh!

    Well guys its on its way.!! A true G73JH-A1. Have FedEx high priority tracking
    number,due to be in my hands by 4-30pm tomorrow. So I am posting this now
    because once it arrives I am going to be in love, and probably will take some
    time out to set the beast up. I promise to post some pics on arrival, and want
    to thank you all for putting up with all my whining,!! I pre-ordered this on
    Jan 5 and it has been a VERY long haul. Good luck to all of you and may you
    receive your tracking numbers SOON. :D

    FIRST shipment arrived today but reseller has no idea when the next one
    will be. I guess I was on the totem pole after all.

    Sounds like I should get my A-1 shipped next week, I'm trying not to get my hopes up to much since I've thought it would be soon a few times but from the email it sounded like they had a machine for me it was just going to take a while to get through the orders ahead of me. We will see...

    It's getting hard to now.

    I can tell I'm getting itchy...just personalized an M17x with 1920 x 1200 RGB LED and it's just waiting for me to click the buy button. With a separately-bought SSD it's $900 more than the mythical A1 I've already paid for, but at least there's the illusion that I'll get it someday.

    what to do what to do... :rolleyes:

    I would visit the m17x pre-order forum in the AW threads and see that they are having the same delay problems... It is an awesome system if you have the $ though!

    Update: I got my replacement G73! Let's hope this one doesn't crash and burn! :twitchy:

    Today's the first day I've felt money was no object (I made it all the way to the end of the M17x config without batting an eye at the price! lol - not good!) Thankfully I would just extend my wait at least another month (or two) if I jumped ship :)

    I'm with you but if you ordered in Feb, expect a 3-4 week wait from now until you see the laptop if you bought it from resellers like Xotic and Gentech. :(

    Congrats Evensen007! For everyone else wondering whether to stick with Xotic/Gentec/Excaliber.......Evensen is the best example of why you SHOULD stick it out. Had Evensen shipped his back to ASUS, insted of the reseller, he'd still be waiting for his machine (like me, Jeremy, Infrared).

    Let's hope your new G73 is in perfect working order!

    Received my G73JH-A1 today at about 1pm and it came with 1066 and not
    1333. No recovery DVD.I guess its off to the owners lounge. Good luck to
    all of you still waiting. :)

    At least it reads all 8gb of memory and the BD works...for now. Only Day1

    and Ive been functioning on a 10inch netbook since september (waiting for a spx16 for over two months) got a little break over the holidays, but back on the netbook since end of january

    thers my life story in a nutshell, ive been prepairing suicide for a while
