Hi I just wanted to confirm that the heatsink from the GT240 could be used on the 5870 and also do I need to purchase additional thermalpads? Thanks!

To get a better Idea on the CPU bench with Physx off. Also, Im tracking the top scores here, but the screen shots must meet the requirements to be considered. With some tweaking you could make the top vantage scores and the 260 board.

Hey I think people with i7-620 and 5870 will result in a better gpu score in
3dmark vantange than people with the i7-820qm or 920xm. Me and Inap, here got ~7400 on gpu score in 3dmark vantage at stock clock and he got the 920xm and I got the 820qm. When i overclocked mine to 900/1100 i got 8974 but sleey0 got 9874. I don't know is this relate too power comsumption different between the cpu or not but I think people with i7-720 or 620 will result in a better gpu score in 3dmark vantage.

Test your theory! Johnksss has been preaching this for a while and least with 3DMark06. Set the affinity for Vantage to only use two of the four cores and run the test. See how it affects it.

Scores will be updated this evening when I get off work.

Wattos How many process' and services do you have running? Can you stop more services? Try and free up some CPU for the benching? You almost there! Within reaching distance.

Plan is to put it RIGHT next to the portable aircon to get some cooling in. Although I tip my hat to Watto, I'd like to see how high this baby can hit!

@jubbing To be included in the scoreboard please submit a 3DMark06 screenshot with GPU-Z and CPU-Z in the screenshot to validate gpu/cpu clocks. Check the bench links in my sig for reference. Nice scores!

    So here' s a official test 1

There's no way I'll be able to beat those 920 scores... but maybe I can push mine to be the best 820 out there!
