and so while we're on the topic of video encoding and dvd burning... i have a few questions/opinions on things i was wondering...

Back in the day, i remember everyone always saying to burn dvds at a slow speed like 2x, or 4x,... because higher speeds weren't reliable n wtv... but this was like 3-4 years ago (haven't been ripping dvds since...but im back at it again).. is this still the case? or can modern day dvd-burners brun at max speed without screwing up?

Another thing was ...while encoding/burning... you were always advised not to use the computer either...as it raises the chances of it skipping a beat n screwing things up...

what i was wondering was...is this all a thing of the past? and was it due to the poor cpu power back in the day? or does this still apply, even to the M15x? I noticed cpu load is only at like 40-50% while encoding.. and that was only on 1 core.... so doe sthat mean i shold have no problem downloading/listening to music/surfing the net ..without having to worry about screwing things up??

any feedback would be great...thanks! :)

Yep.. they can burn at max speeds without screwen up....

About running multiple applications it depends if like you are stressing the cpu or the hard drive it might result in few errors in the video..

hmm didnt get a chance to check them out yet... im at work now.. so i cant really check... but i did notice... that while OC'ing on the new drivers... with 700/1100/1700, while testing for stability with furmark... it would throttle back to stock clocks when temps reached about 79-80 degrees ( furmark get sthe card friggin hot.. ( by the way 4get what i said abotu using ati-tool... its full of crap...its wayy too outdated an dreports false artifacts...it used to be amazing though.. shame they havent updated it...)

I didnt try forcing constant 3d clocks using rivatuner though...that might fix it... ( i had uninstalled rivatuner)

hmm ok sorry didnt know u tried that alrdy...my bad...

but yea when i loaded the iso to nero, it automatically closed the window i was in, and a new one popped up... it knew automatically what kind of cd to burn... but yea it has to be a bootable cd or it wont work...

EDIT: you don't need to rip it manually dont worry.. when you choose bootable cd it does it by itself...

2nd Edit: Hey you live in mtl right? ill just swing by and give you my cd LOLL. :D
