M14x Order Status Discussion

Their Shipped from China, in the UK they take about 2 week to arrive even tho the EED is about 4weeks.

 

Cheers , very first time with a gaming laptop ,only had "normal one " with intel HD2000 gfx i have a very good desktop at home , but this is for travelling with , i hope i made a good decsion

Mines just arrived. Everything stock apart from upgraded screen, wireless and bluetooth. UK delivery.

16th May - Ordered and confirmed with Dell sales rep. Given estimated delivery of 1st June.
17th May - Work in Progress
18th May - In Production
21st May - Shipping from China
23rd May - Delivered.

So that's a UK delivery that was ordered and received within a week. Pretty good service I'd say.

 

EDIT - Just arrived 12 days from order to delivery, not too bad, now i gotta wait till I finish work at 10

 

Got mine today too (originally ordered 13th May), kudos to UPS it was delivered this morning despite arriving at the airport at 7am.

 

come on guys who got them today , how r they ? also i cant track my order yet on dell site , nothing comes up detail wise just say number of orders 1 ?

 

I'm at work right now so won't get chance to look until I get home at 7.

I give up, I'm not getting a laptop.

It's still in production. It's supposed to be here by this Friday, and unless they expedite the shipping, it's not going to make it. It's been in production for 12 days now.

Delighted with mine anyway. No squeaky space bar, no dints or dings and no dead pixels. Will be much easier to lug around than my M15x (which is heading for ebay). Out of the box there was no protective plastic on it anywhere, but there wasn't a mark on it. Haven't tried to game on it yet, will leave that for tomorrow. Apart from size/weight, the most noticeable difference between this and the M15x is the soft touch finish on the lid and around the trackpad.

First impressions of mine is good too. My first Alienware and it just feels like a totally different class to any laptop I've used in the past.

 

Ordered on the 15th, got delivered today.

Totally stock apart from the updated screen, Bluetooth and upgraded wireless.

Love it so far. Not noticed any problems yet and I'm already impressed with the battery life. Even without a full charge I've got a good few hours while constantly downloading, burning and installing different programs.

Really well built too, stunning piece of kit.

 

I ordered mine on the 13th too and it still says in production too so i called today and they told me that i will have a tracking number by the end of the day and told me that she would speed everything up and get it to me by tomorrow. I dont know how thats gonna work but whatever if i get it tomorrow it wont be soon enough

 

Just got home and got it started, absolutly love it so far. Not a simgle mark on it and had some plastic film on the alien heads other than that nothing else.

So far its 10 times better than Ii though it would, tho saying that this is my 1st Alienware product so I guess everyone thinks that the first time.

 

just got sms today.. i'm receiving it in 24 hours... gotta get into office earier tomorrow.. my new "workstation".. and more

 

Just checked my order status and it says "shipped" but all the tracking info and carrier says that it is Unavailable?

 

I just contacted the Dell CS Chat Site- My order will be shipping out within the next couple of days.

 

Just got mine and it is awesome just what i need!

 

I just got a text from my GF that mines sitting at the house. I checked Dell and it says shipped now. Last night at 11pm when I checked, it still said in production. Guess they used teleportation shipping.

 

:O I told you you would get your laptop before me. Mine is still in production...god damn it this is driving me crazy.

The guy who I ordered from even said it will be here by the 25th, even though the EDD is 30th.

 

Just call them up and tell them you want to opt for teleportation shipping. Let us know how that conversation goes.

I'm thinking the system problems I've seen reported on the forums from when people are calling in, was (or still is) affecting their automated tracking systems, and it's not updating. I doubt very seriously they shipped my machine out at 1:24am this morning, and it arrived at my house at 9:30am.

I was pretty skeptical, but all I can say is they will get it to you by the EDD.

 

Alright, just gave my Dell guy a call. He says he's going to "expedite" it and that I will get the order in 4 days time, which is to say Friday.

I guess it can hardly count as speeding up the order, since my EDD is next Monday (30th). I suggest anyone who is ordering their laptop and in a hurry, to call in on the early stages and pester them to speed up the order. It's possible they have some level of power to modify the priority of the orders.

BTW, how's your new laptop looking? Did they fix the battery issue?

 

I haven't been home to see it yet, I'm at work for another 2 hours. I doubt they fixed the problem with the battery though.

 

Mine is great i havent had any problems so far as it goes the fan isnt even that loud (for me that is) the batter has lasted about 4 hours so far almost dead 33% left still

They're probably strapping your order to some dolphins and hope it eventually washes on shore. Gotta cut costs somehow eh?

 

Lol, When I chatted with the Dell CS Rep she had a nice chuckle over that date. We both said "I had no idea that on Jan 1st of Year 1 there were computers."

I did find out however that within the next couple of days my system should be shipping.

Just wanted to say that I'm new to this forum, and thought I would post some helpful and awesome news regarding my most recent order from Alienware.

I ordered an Alienware M14X on 5/19/2011 and from checking dell.com almost everyday and being OCD about it haha I will finally get this awesome laptop tomorrow! I was kind of curious from reading posts from different websites about delivery time, but I am pretty excited that I am getting this laptop in less then a weeks ordering time! Dell's estimated shipping date was 6/10/11, but I'm glad I'm getting it really early.

I ordered mine on May 22nd and the EDD is for June 16, however, as I was trying to hustle an Xbox 360 for my order, they told me that my order has already completed production and is ready to be shipped. The order status online says that it's still in production and calling the number tells me that the product already shipped on June 13th lol. I called another rep to ask them if I could speed up my production and the rep told me and confirmed what I heard earlier that my computer has already finished production and I should get my computer within the next 24 to 48 hours which I'm doubtful of but I do expect it to come next week now.

If you have trouble with your order status, I suggest just keep calling them to get it to speed up faster. You can say things like, "I have an unexpected business trip to attend to and I will be gone for quite some time so if there's anyway I can get my computer sooner would be highly appreciated." That's along the lines of what I said, just maintain a professional and courteous demeanor and they actually feel better and try to help you more.

 

What up everyone. I am new to the forum, just placed my order on 5/24 and estimated delivery is 6/9. I hope it gets here before 6/4 because I am going on vacation... I called and told them I was going out of town on 6/4 and asked if they could expedite the process. Rep told me the order is "making great progress", she said she would email the other department manager and ask them to what they could... I am so anxious!

I got an awesome deal using an EPP code and coupon.

Ordered on May 13th, EDD May 30th.
Order was delayed, now EDD is June 23rd.

Called several times to hint to them I'm really pissed. All they can seem to tell me is that they "understand"

 

You're talking to the wrong people, ask for a manger or supervisor.

 

To any of the uk guys that recieved there m14 now you have had it for a few days , and prob been gaming , how is it , all you expected ?

 

Ordered on 19th May... EDD 15th June... Dang the waiting sucks!!

 

I just contacted Dell earlier today and my M14X is completly built (finished on the 25th of May) and in the WHSE for shipment. My order was placed on the 11th of May.

 

Wow this order was really quick. I ordered mine on the 22nd of May, Sunday and I just got the email that it was shipped. I went to the fedex website to track it and it's in California already. It's going to be delivered tomorrow. That's 7 days production and delivery. I'm scared that they might not have put love and attention to it.

 

What specs? Ordered mine on 5/20, Edd 6/17 and still not updated

 

Awesome! I got the email confirming my shipment- it shall arrive on Jun 1st!

Looking at the calendar I see that it was a total of 3 weeks from order date to delivery date.

 

Wow I just got it at 11:20 this morning PST. I just took a whole hour unboxing it and now I'm posting here to let you guys know! It got shipped pretty quickly. Right now I'm noticing a little squeak when I press the left shift button. Kinda annoying but other than that, I see no problems with it whatsoever. Everything that I configured is in correctly.

I got 6gb of ram, 750gb hard drive, 900p screen, 6205 wireless, bluetooth, and custom nameplate. Soft touch stealth black. It came in 7 days.

o that's weird, I ordered may 17 and it got shipped recently and is in LA and im still waiting for it and it appears I have to wait until Tuesday at the earliest now since they did not deliver it today.

 

Still wondering how it got made so quickly to be honest. I did order by phone through US sales reps if that made any difference. I was expecting it by next Wednesday too, pleasant surprise to see it now. And this squeaky shift key is annoying -_-
