I just placed my order this morning with a delivery date of 31st May. I got the following spec's:

congatas! for me it took 5 business days to build and 1 to shipped. this is my 2nd alienware, and like 5 laptop xD

 

I'd be extremely surprised if you didn't have your laptop by the end of the month. Most laptops are at people's doors within two weeks. Usually closer to one.

 

Oh good, glad to hear this due to lack of a computer at the moment, seen as my desktop through a full blown wobbla n now beyond help

 

Ordered on May 4th, and just got confirmation overnight that it has been shipped. That's 7-8 days from order to shipped. I think that's the average that other people have had on this forum as well.

This is for Canada BTW, but the item shows as being shipped from the U.S.

 

Mine has been ordered the 9th and shipped today! O.O

 

Hope I get that kinda service, rly lost without a comp.

After all the fuss around crysis 2, I rly cant wait to get a system that can actually play it

 

I wouldn't hold your breath. This game is pretty freaking glitch-tastic.

 

Fun fact: One of the tech support girls I spoke to said AW has a room full of their comps, and they just go there and play for a while. Their flavor of the month: Crysis 2

got my unit qat my brothers house but won't see it till next week cause im in okinawaw =/

 

I ordered mine this Monday, 9th May.
This morning they changed status to shipped.

No ETA updated yet though but I expect to have it next week sometime, original was 27th May.

It seems they will use UPS as opposed to Schenker. I hope that is a good thing.

 

Does anyone know the average time for the laptop to arrive in the uk?
Thinking of buying it this week so wondering how long it might take.

 

Alright, Dell's production time is just weird.

I ordered my m14x on May 3rd, didn't ship today so I decided to cancel and change my order (changed the 3GB nvidia to the 1.5GB, 6GB ram to 4GB, and Red instead of Black). The EDD for the May 3rd was 27th of may. Now, the new EDD is only 30th of May. 10 days of order difference, and only 3 extra days of delivery. Hope I have a laptop by next Friday, waiting is driving me crazy.

Interesting, I ordered mine the same day and its still "In Production".

 

Currently at time of posting I've ordered on the 9th May, order status changed to shipped this morning with tracking number from UPS (doesn't work yet though). I phoned the automated number and it says being prepared for delivery. Maybe I'll get it by Tuesday/Wednesday of next week? I am in England, UK, by the way.

Edit: Delivery date from an email earlier said Monday 16th, but the UPS tracking information states it's now been updated to 17th. I hope it doesn't increase again. Currently leaving China according to UPS.

Edit #2: Delivery date update notice seems to now have disappeared as if it's now the original delivery date, so maybe I'll get it Monday 16th after all. It's left Korea many hours ago now.

Similar to me, I ordered Sunday however, but technically Monday due to my card issuer flagging the first payment as unusual and requiring me to go through fraud verification measures to ensure I authorised it. My ESD was 24th May.

Mine is still "In Production" as well.

 

I ordered mine Last week and got it on Wed, 11th of May. They gave me free overnight shipping because of a mix-up that occurred with my original M14x order, which I placed the day they were available through the website.

The EST. Delivery Date after the order was placed was May 25th... So I got it pretty quick. They used FED-EX to deliver mine.

 

just got my alienware m14x now but I have a sort of huge problem with my keyboard to be honest. when I try to type "just" for example there's a delay on some of the keyboard letters and always ends up "juts" I type it correctly 100% sure, tried on many other keyboard and never had this problem but when I type "juts" fast it juts doesn't get typed in correctly. really annoying. does anyone else have this problem or is it juts me?

Well its been nearly a week, so a quick update. Still "work in progress" so unless they get a move on I can see it taking over 2 week. Ill keep ya posted

 

haha i order my m14x back in 4/22 but i had it shipped to my parents house cause im stationed in okinawa atm. if i had dell ship it to me over here it could of taken even longer. xD but so far im loving it. really nice upgrade from my m11x r2. heres my wei score

 

Congrats! Also, thanks for serving. I'm here in Hawaii with the Air National Guard (was active duty for a while as well) so I understand a little about the shipping. Even though it's part of the States, things take forever to arrive.

 

Current estimated delivery date for me is the 1st of June. Ordered it late last night.

Completely stock apart from the upgraded screen, bluetooth and wireless.

Why, oh why, did dell pick Purolator to ship their packages in Canada.

They can't even find my address, which is clearly marked on any GPS and google maps.

Now I have to drive 45 minutes away to the 'Depot' to pick it up.

I sent a strongly worded email to both Purolator and Dell. They should pay me the gas and time to drive and pick it up. Dell needs to seriously use a better shipping service.

The funny thing is that we even have an express sticker for Purolator, so my address is already in their system.

 

Ordered mine through AAFES last Tuesday the 10th, EDD was 31st. Received notification this morning that it will arrive tomorrow, the 17th.

Configuration was Black, CPU/RAM/GPU max'ed out, plus Bluetooth and highest WiFi option minus WiMAX.

I really thought my SSD was going to beat the laptop here, right now that is due to arrive on Wednesday.

 

Ordered today, in production. EDD May 30. Hopefully I get it before then since I have no computer atm

 

Ordered mine yesterday and its in production still.

The accessories i order with the laptop have been shipped already it seems wich is weird.

Finally got mine yesterday.

Nicely packaged - not a lot of items with it.

Laptop in a nice cloth cover, manual package, windows 7 install, resource cd, powerbrick and plug.

That's it.

One thing I love about Alienware - they don't put a mountain of stickers all over the wrist rest area of the laptop. Theres just a few stickers on the backside saying Core i7, and the Windows 7 key.

Ordered in UK last Tuesday and is showing as in production today, hoping I might have this by the end of the week (Fingers crossed)

 

Well it officially went into production today, so their is progress atleast. Anyone have a idea as to how long their UK order took from production to delivery?

EDD is still the 1st of June but it has now changed to In Production.

 

I ordered mine on the 10th, and it still says "in production". I think the stock ones ship a little faster though. I think my choice of wallpaper has really slowed them down. The technician is probably trying to figure out where the control panel is....
