X-25M SSD owners post your benchmark

    Thats so weird, almost all *desktops* with X-25m G2 are benching higher in 4K reads/writes!

    p/s Ive been researching forums after forums! and Googling till no end! what is goin on!

    Perhaps it is a limitation of the mobile chipset which has only come to light when fast SSDs have become available. Perhaps something to give users a reason to upgrade to the next Intel platform.

    That really wouldn't surprise me. Come next Feb Ill be getting the e4310 (if my life stays the same that is), and I'll post comparison numbers at that point.

    edit: to add, the results above for me are in a "dirty" state, having just written the disk to within 20MB of completely full, deleting that, and then running that bench.

    I seriously hope you're wrong but, im not ruling out the improbability of it. Im trying to find benchmarks on the SSD Thread in the Hardware Section, but that thread has over 800 posts!

    On my Sager D900F, but I figured you guys might want to see. This is 3x 80 gig g2 drives in a raid 0 128k stripe. Might lower the stripe size a bit to bring up the small reads/writes.
