Hm, finally are the prices right, I started to think that we in EU are financing your notebooks in USA :). Look - they made them in europe (poland or ireland or where) and sell it in US 2x or 3x cheaper than in EU? ***???

I wouldn't worry about it too much... Those prices will fall extremely quickly once Dell realizes they aren't selling as well as they thought.

That's when you'll see the price come down....

dell will sell thousands of these at high prices. Businesses are buying them and they are already backordered. Try to order one and see when the shipping date is going to be. I am telling you, Dell employees aren't just standing and waiting and building one laptop a day. some here have never taken a business class, or have no idea how a business works.

the comparison US vs don't make any sense because the exchange rate fluctuates. When the dollar was stronger things were more expensive in the states for people holding weaker currencies, especially before the euro.

The only way to compare is to have a ratio with price and average salary in the two countries.

yes, prices will drop in a few months when the supply is gonna be higher than the demand. Storing laptop costs, it's not free, that's another costs in the big equation.
