I'm just using a normal 13" Targus case i got from jb hi-fi and the 8 cell stick out battery doesn't bother me at all. Battery life is about 8 hours for me using those settings.

I just did a quick measure and the from the top of the closed lid to the bottom of the battery is about 5cm.

Vostro 3350 comes with a 4-cell and an 8-cell battery.

I have never owned this system but according to the reviews the 8-cell does stick out and the battery life you should get with those settings should be around 3hrs approx. with a 4 call battery and anywhere between 6-8hrs with an 8 cell one.

If I turn off the wireless, Dull the screen to ~80% and only use Word and notepad I can get around 10 hours note-taking done with the 8 cell.

sweet.. just got a 3550 at the dell outlet for $509 after coupon 4WTTM46375CP20 shipped w/ tax to NJ through sales chat. On the dell outlet I couldn't find any vostro 3550 with backlit keyboard. I think their outlet is still terrible... but sales chat could locate the base model i3/Intel graphics with backlit keyboard for $559 (backlit keyboard is the only thing i care about on a 13.3" model).... now to look for a 4-cell for everyday use. the 8-cell that comes with this laptop will help when i'm travelling.

I know this is not a help forum but I really need help.

I have a Dell Vostro 3350 which has a Centrino Wireless N-1030. I have 64-bit Windows 7 Prof. Ed. But 3350 does not connect to internet. It connects but drops then reconnects...

I reinstalled Windows, drivers, etc. but no change. I used 3350 on high-power but no change !

Is there any suggest ? Is there anyone who has same problem ?

Is the router known good working? Try:

    - Reset TCPIP (elevate CMD, ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew)
    - Flush DNS (elevate CMD, ipconfig /flushdns)
    - Reset Winsock (elevate CMD, netsh winsock reset)

No problem with my Router, my HP works with it perfectly. But my 3350 keeps dropping out with all wireless routers.

Instead of resetting TCP/IP, I re-installed windows from the scratch. But no change it still drops out wireless connection (immediately reconnect then drops again, etc.).

    Any help, solution.
