I was nearly buying the Precision 7510 (it is perfect else) when I saw that the color coverage for the Ultrasharp IPS FHD screen is only at 72%. If that is for ARGB, that is fine, for sRGB that would be a dealbreaker for me. In addition I could not find any measurements for it in the web. The 4k is too expensive and power-hungry for me.
Thus: Which color-coverage does the FHD IPS-display have, and should I take it or not?
    Thanks!

I would expect it to be the same "ultrasharp" panel as I have in my 5510. However, comparing the specs in the back of the user manuals for each notebook show that the 5510 has better viewing angles. My 5510 panel is a Sharp SHP1453 LQ156M1 panel and my Spyder 5 Express calibrator revealed that the display covers 99% of sRGB / 79% of AdobeRGB. By default, the panel in my 5510 had a blue bias but that was fixed by the calibrator. This post suggests that an LG panel is an alternative to the Sharp.

If it is the same as the display in the 5510, then why are they listing only 72% sRGB coverage (instead of 99%)?

I am pretty sure Dell is only using Sharp panels in the 5510 (for 1080p anyway). I haven't heard of any 7510s with Sharp panels, it is usually LG, but they have a few different panels that they use and you won't know which one you get until you receive the system and check. If you read through the 7510 owner's thread (I know, long) you will find discussion on this with some specific details.

    This specs sheet says:
    15.6"FHD (1920x1080) Anti-Glare LED-backlit ( 45% color gamut)
15.6"UltraSharp™ FHD IPS (1920x1080) WideView Anti-Glare LED-backlit with Premium Panel Guarantee (72% color gamut)
15.6"UltraSharp™ FHD IPS Touch (1920x1080) WideView LED-backlit with Premium Panel Guarantee (72% color gamut)
15.6"UltraSharp™ UHD IGZO (3840x2160) Premier Color WideView Anti-Glare LED-backlit with Premium Panel Guarantee (100% Adobe color gamut)

Only the last specifically say Adobe color gamut. The others aren't defined but if they are premium panels then, based on the premium panels sold by Dell on other workstations, I would expect a lot better than 72% SRGB. The AUO panel in the E5570 which I used before my 5510 managed 98% of SRGB and was 76% of Adobe RGB according to my Spyder.

I think the "72% color gamut" for the higher end FHD panels refers to Adobe RGB.

For sRGB levels, expect something along the lines of 90+ RGB levels.

Its a long thread at 152 pages, but in this owner's thread, I saw at least two people report the higher end FHD panel to have at least 90% sRGB coverage after testing with a colorimeter.

Ok, 90+ would be fine for me. I think I will order it, test it, and send it back (if necessary).
