Precision M6400 : Is it possible to put the GPU into a low power mode ?

    Are you referring to the PCI Express option and setting it to Max Power Saving ?

    What OS are you using?

    Could you do a comparison with Powermaximizer on and off (with everything else the same) and see how long it takes battery to decrease by 30% or 50% with normal activity (the type of activities one would usually do when on battery power: email, internet access, word processing).

    For the M6400 with its power hungry FX3600M the Powermaximizer is likely to make an even larger difference.

    Thanks. Also to any one who has M6400/FX3600M and an OS that has Powermaximizer working.

    PS. Idiotic for Powermaximizer not to be available for the FX3600M with Vista when the majority of M6400's are shipped with Vista. Lets hope nVidia or Dell or MS fixes this, but the responsibility is really with DELL.

    Anyone getting know how to put their FX3600M into a low power mode with Vista?

    Anyone getting over 2hrs on battery with quad core and FX3600M ?
