I find powermizer saves quite a lot of battery life and heat generation.....with it off,the fan goes just about continuously [more heat=more power usage] with it on,the fan hardly ever come's on [cooler=less power usage]

From memory, powermizer enable's something like 25% of normal clock speed's but can't remember exactly, but definitely slow's it down to a crawl.

Switchable graphic's would be nice, maybe next time.

Yes, I have that option, but I only get to "enable" powermixer as in the screenshot, there are no other settings that can be changed.

I don't have the mobile option at all.

This is a shot of my NVidia control panel (when docked, and connected to 2 monitors)

I am running Vista 64, with the latest Dell drivers on my M6400 (FX2700m).

Most of the LTVTGo xp 32bit driver's I've used have had this option as well, occasionally not though.

Does this not do what you want,if you can enable and disable it,surely that's the same thing, just a different version of it.
Maybe download nvidia tool's and see if it does actually downclock your GPU when enabled......if not just try some really low clock rates and set a profile for low power usage within nvidia system tool's.

    Nope...not there.

I did find this though (Powermaximizer doesn't work under vista) in the help.

So I went into the Vista power settings, and you can control the power that the PCI bus uses when on battery. I set that to minimum and I'll see if it has any impact on battery life.

Powermaximizer is not an option on my system. Looks like a Vista snafu.
