Hey guys, just wanted everyone to know that the 1000M has a nice overclock. I was able to push it to 875/1090/1745 from a stock 700/900/1400. Left running to check for artifacts all night and they are completely stable.

    3DMark11 Results:

    Stock 700/900/1400: P1085
    OCed 875/1090/1745: P1361

For those who dislike math, that's a 25.4% boast from stock speeds. Not too shabby...I'd be happy to run any other benchmarks if anyone else is interested.

[EDIT] The test was not done with the sig system below. It was performed on an i5-2540 2.6Ghz with 8GB 1333Ghz Ram. All other specs are the same.

I used GPUTool cause it has a stability checker that will scan for artifacts. nVidia System tools will do the trick too(tested it with v6.06). If you use GPUTool, be aware that it confuses the CPU and Memory clock speeds(ie: when you overclock the cpu you are really OCing the mem and vice versa).

I verified the clock speeds with GPU-Z. Let me know if you have trouble finding the software and I'll post links. But you should be able to google all of them.

I tried your settings and it didn't work so well - after a while (temp check with furmark using your settings) the gfk crashed and locked up. ended up in an all-orange screen..

that is pretty good oc for the 1000m. I got about 36-37% increase with the 3dmark06 graphics test with the 2000m. there is a thread of me discussing my ocing. I will try the GPUTOOLS because ATM the MSI afterburner software has limit on my memory speed, which has yet to see its limits after 30% flat raise.

IS there any other software you can recommend?

Welcome to the very REAL possibility that you can fry your graphics card if you are not conservative with overclocking.

Furmark has been known to break graphics cards because it is not a fair test. It is not real world. It is much worse than any game. Even games with lousy coding. It is built to overheat the weakest chip on your gpu. Google it.

    D'Oh!

I was going slow, just trying the same settings that mr_bankai used..
    Maybe I shouldn't OC......

Is there any way to find out if the gfx card took damage, or any shader unit?

If you can run at normal speeds without any errors it should be fine.
