    Good point, I might have misread the question. My bad.

    Dell does not include a contactless smartcard with the systems, these cards are generally provided by the companies that use this technology as they vary from company to company.

    My M4600 came with a card (CAC) reader, and I did not order the fingerprint reader. Dell doesn't say much about the card reader when configuring the laptop for purchase, and the card reader itself is easy to overlook. It is just a thin gap above the CD/DVD drive.

    1 point for your effort but, slow down a little.. that is not what he asked.. Font worry your not the first. He is asking about the actual contact less card that you use with the reader.

    The actual smart card can be from a variety of sources, such as the US Department of Defense, but generally not from the computer manufacturer.
