Does anyone have the 1600 x 900 Screen on the M6600? I returned the M4600 I had for this one. I had the IPS and found it was far too small and too overly saturated. It did look good, but too hard to read even at 125%.

Also the video card, Quadro 4000M in my case, will push the lower res faster than the higher. I do 3D mainly, but also game.

I am just wondering the quality and clarity of the 1600 x 900.

I also realize the FHD would be slightly easier to read on the 17" thank on the 15".

    Thanks

Is there anyone who has experience with Lenovo W520 and Dell M4600?

I would appreciate any help in this comparison. User friendliness, reliability...

I have a total of 16 GB of Kingston HyperX memory left over from a purchase I made a week ago, which is M4600 compatible (brand new sealed packages). If anybody wants to give me a reasonable offer for one or both sets, I'll certainly consider it. Otherwise, I'll just wind up selling it on eBay or something. The specs of each 8GB package are 2 x 4GB DDR3-1600 (PC3-12800) model KHX1600C9S3K2/8GX. Here is a pic:

These are on sale at Amazon with the uglier 8G heatsinks for $122 each (http://www.amazon.com/Non-ECC-Desktop-Channel-KHX1600C9S3K2-8G/dp/B0047A7B60). If you are interested in giving me a good offer for one or both, please send me a private message via a Private Message (http://forum.notebookreview.com/private.php?do=newpm). If you live in the Illinois / Wisconsin / Indiana area, you can even come and pick them up for a weekend RAM upgrade project for your laptop, if you'd like.

Do I need nVidia Quadro 2000M ISV driver if I don't run AutoDesk and Solidworks?

The above RAMs are confirmed to work perfectly with M4600 at 1600Mhz. Just installed the exactly same type of RAM last week.

I have a vertex 3 SSD and have experienced no issues with BSOD. I can also confirm the recovery media will install on a formatted HD. I have noted a slight green tinge in the bottom right corner on my IPS screen. Dell also ships a power management app with additional power saving features... using these power settings calles(Enhanced Power & Performance) you can get 10-15% more battery life over the microsoft basic power settings or less fan noise.

No need to disconnect the cable, i wouldn't touch it if possible. I installed RAM last week with keyboard cable connected.

Can anyone recommend a wireless router for the centrino stuff?

I am in desperate need of an upgrade of an old linksys and I want to hit the top speeds that these new fancy wireless cards can hit.

I just got a Netgear JWNR200 running at the max speed over my Centrino Advanced (6200), and speeds are great. I've seen 4GB/sec on some downloads. Fast.

CORRECTION (big one): I'm getting 4+ MB/sec on some downloads. Still fast, but not 4 GB fast. :p
