Actually, i know a lot about this screw issue. I have four of them just sent to me from Dell. They are very small and when they sent me their ssd card it did not have a screw. So I went to TrueValue Hardware locally and took the 4 smallest screws they had and the smallest, 3/32? worked.

I will be interested if the intel works as the stock Dell I got was only 64GB.

PS I now have 4 screws from Dell by Fed Ex!

Dang, already envious of the additional 16GB. I am running with about 15GB free. All my documents and music etc are out on the HDD.

I just picked up an m4500... it's a nice notebook, just have an issue with the keyboard flex. I got the backlit kb. Has anyone tried both the backlit and non-backlit and can chime-in on whether there's any difference in flex between the two? What about kb's from other models that fit?

I had a w500 with the same issue and had Lenovo send me a t61 kb which completely fixed it.

    Thanks.

btw i can confirm that the intel 310 will work on the notebook. I installed windows 7 last night on it. It's a lot quicker than the standard hard drive. Also the screw that came to secure the modular bay works too on the ssd.

    ************************************************************

Hi. My M4500 came with the Samsung m800 miniSATA SSD as the O/S disk. I want to upgrade to the Intel 310 because I'm close to limit on 64 GB. Can I ask you guys a couple of questions?:

    1. Do you know where to get the Intel 310?

    2. Will the mountings/screws already in there for the Samsung m800 work for the Intel 310?

    3. How do I open the machine up to get at the miniSATA slot? If you can tell me which screws I need to undo that would be great.
