No iGPU? Certainly you must be wrong on this.
Ryzen is an APU capable of displaying graphics. So it's already an iGPU.

    Found these two links
    see last post https://www.tenforums.com/graphic-cards/152120-amd-switchable-graphics-how-switch-gpu.html

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

But now I'm wondering how's the support for Linux
    *fear*

That is an absolute beast! Tempting...

If a small company can pull that laptop, surely Dell will be able to surprise us too :D *crosses fingers*

I love the dual GPU setup on my 3510, AMD switchable graphics with intel iGPU is just a killer for battery life time, same as a laptop without dGPU, I hope AMD iGPU is as efficient as intel iGPU at idle/slight load

That was more of a question. If AMD Graphics Switching is as efficient in practice as Optimus then exciting times ahead.

Can't wait to see a NBC review.

Here is a leaked image of the new Precision lineup. Well, maybe that's what it is.

A Reddit user spotted this on the Dell website but it has since been removed.
    https://www.reddit.com/r/Dell/comments/ftunks/are_2020_precision_laptops_getting_rid_of_their/

Top and right appear to be XPS-style systems (XPS 15 and XPS 17), so, Precision 5550 / 5750.

Left looks like a Precision 75X0 system... like the 7530/7540 except for the exhaust port on the right side behind the USB ports is strangely missing? (If the chassis design really hasn't changed then there's a decent chance that DGFF GPU upgrades will be an option for another generation. If the cards are any different, anyway... Ampere is not going to be ready so it might be the same set of Turing RTX cards.)

And the bottom does not appear to be a 7000-series system. The HDMI port behind the fan exhaust port wouldn't work for a DGFF card unless it had a very unusual shape, and I highly doubt the 7000-series would put the power jack on the left and not the back. So maybe a new 3000-series Precision chassis?

I'm pretty sure the bottom one is a precision 35xx, it looks very similar to my 3510, for the left one it might be a full AMD laptop with no dGPU ?

Looking at the gaps between the keyboard and the chassis and the trackpad and chassis, feels more like the 7750. Also, no trackpoint, and consequently, the second set of buttons have also disappeared.

The chassis does appear to have changed...

Good catch, I didn't notice the missing trackpoint. I wouldn't mind if that went away. Maybe they made the touchpad a little bit bigger? (Nothing like the awesome giant touchpads on those XPS-style systems.) Anyway, this chassis refresh would be more minor than previous ones, even comparing 7X20→7X30. (From what I can tell from just this one angle.)

So, this Reddit comment links this slide deck, where the Precision 5750 and 7550 are listed. I'm more interested in the latter, so I will reproduce an image below, as well as some changes w.r.t. the 7530/7540. The entire PDF is also attached here, in case the original source disappears.

    Notes from the text:
    • Smaller and lighter: 7530/7540 is around 2.6 kg when maxed out, which is around 5.8 lbs, the 7550 is apparently 5.5 lbs, which is 2.5 kg—honestly, not much difference there—the 67/97 Wh battery has a difference larger than that, as do the integrated graphics/high-end dGPU heatsinks.
    • Narrow side and top bezels imply a very nice screen is coming (Dell mentions HDR600, which is better than the base VESA HDR400). Display still appears to be 16:9, which is particularly irksome. The XPS 15/Precision 5XXX series are getting 16:10 screens; why not the properly professional 7XXX notebooks?
    • 'Pro 2 keyboard' and larger touchpad: TrackPoint is gone, and so are the additional three buttons above the trackpad. I can't make out the actual layout of the keyboard due to the extreme acute angle, but it appears the numpad is still present (an increasingly rare sight, even on 15" notebooks). Let's hope all keys are as they are: the Home, End, Page Up/Down keys are neatly positioned. Full-szie arrow keys would be nice, too.
    • Fingerprint reader integrated into power button: nice. Has been a long time coming: the ugly yellow patch is an eyesore on an otherwise featureless black palmrest.
    • Up to 6 TB NVME implies 3 × 2 TB NVME, so that's status quo, then.
    • CPUs are still Intel Core and Xeon: as expected, and yet still slightly disappointing. Hopefully we get AMD Ryzen (Pro) options next year. Intel CPUs are getting really long in the tooth.
    • No specific GPU options mentioned, but I presume we will have the same as the 7540/7740: up to Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q (shame) for the 15", and up to Quadro RTX 5000 for the 17". Possibly Quadro RTX 6000, given the competition.
    Notes from the image:
    • The CPU heatsink grille on the right has disappeared, though if you look closely, the grille on the underside is still present. If this means the loss of a fin array, not good: the CPU in the 15" Precision already heats up too quickly.
    • The hinge design has changed drastically, to be more cylindrical. Hopefully this still accommodates the ~ 200° angle that the current Precision 7XXX screens can open to.
    • SD card reader has been moved to the right. This all suggests somewhat significant motherboard changes, and it might be likely that 7530/40 —> 7550 GPU upgrades might not be possible any more, due to the DGFF changing its form factor. Some weird hacks might make it possible, like extension cables etc., but probably not worth the effort, given the price of these machines. Let's wait and see.
Also, the slide deck notes these will be released in May—about 2 months earlier than the 7530 and 7540 in previous years.
