AMD graphics will be available as options (before the end of the month).

Here's some more info about the AMD choices.

TL;DR: Radeon™ Pro WX 4150 on the Precision 7530, Choice of Radeon™ Pro WX 4150 or WX 7100 on the Precision 7730.

Any ideas on how those would fit into P3200 - P5200 range? Would WX4150 be cheaper than P3200?

Update: should have checked the specs. I guess 4150 should be about 30-50% cheaper than p3200 ?

TechPowerUp's "relative performance" scale puts both AMD cards below the P3200, with the WX 4150 being about 40% as fast and the WX 7100 being about 80% as fast. The "relative performance" scale is based on specs and not actual benchmarks (but it's probably not too far off).

Being the chipset and the CPU the same between the 5530 and the 7530, which are other possible factors that could not let the new 32Gb RAM sticks work on the 5530?
I mean, I knew max runnable RAM depended on motherboard chipset and CPU spec (architecture). Is there something else? Thanks

Any movement on your order? Mine is slated to be delivered July 9, but I was hoping that was a greatly exaggerated timeline and that it would arrive early.

I wouldn't count on this. I ordered a 7530 on June 7th and it was scheduled to arrive on the 20th. Instead, I received a notice on the 19th that they've delayed it by a week, citing "unforeseen circumstances". Interestingly, the sales rep assigned to my case added a note to my order saying "Your custom-built item is complete."

Hoping it won't be long now. Practicing patience!

Thanks for the info! I am glad the key travel is not that significantly different. I am running a 2960xm and a firepro m5100 in my m4600. I don't need the gpu upgrade, but I like to drive a 2560x1600 display + (2) 1920x1200 displays in a PLP configuration, but the laptop just doesn't like driving that resolution. It does slow down a bit when having multiple browsers. It also seems that my M5100 may have failed as I get nothing but BSODs with the M5100 and appropriate drivers. I have to run off windows stock drivers and no external monitors. Sad indeed.
I was really hoping I would like the 7530 redesign, but it looks like I will snag a 7510/7520 when they become cheap.

Wow, I'm sorry that happened to you, that's frustrating. I've been obsessively refreshing my order status and I noticed "Your custom-built item is complete" on mine as well. I can't remember if it's been there since the beginning though.

What country are you guys in? Here in the U.S. it has been 3 weeks estimated from order to delivery since the products launched (at least for me), so I'm surprised if you got an estimate of less than two weeks. If you are also U.S., maybe they just didn't have the date estimation set up in the system correctly (like other issues that were going on with the ordering process right at first)...

Anyway... No, there has been no activity on my order. I'll post here when I see that it shipped. I think I'm one of the earliest here to buy a 7X30 (but it was five days after launch so there are probably some earlier ones like @Div033).

From past launches I can tell you that @Dell-Mano_G has confirmed that for the first few weeks after a new product launch, they are QC'ing each one 100% (whereas later on their QC is more spot-checky) and that is part of the reason for the initial shipping delay. (Hopefully that means you are less likely to run into issues with your system.) And they usually beat the estimated delivery date but not by much.

It's been a while but the last time I bought a system right at launch was when I bought my personal M6700, back in 2012. I ordered it on launch day. It shipped after exactly two weeks and I received it a couple of days later, five days before the original estimate which was also three weeks. Here on the forum, everyone who had bought an M6700 received their shipping notice on the same day (even those who had ordered it a couple of days after launch).

As for the little note on the order that you are mentioning, mine is even stranger, I wouldn't put much stock in it...
