    @Dell-Mano_G

How bright will the FHD display of the 7730 be?

Can the new 180W adapter handle a 7730 when the dGPU is not used without throttline the CPU? Would be nice for travelling.

I would very much like to understand why in the TB18DC dual TB3 connector was made? Since I was planning to connect Lacie 2big Dock Thunderbolt 3 to one of the TB3 ports in notebook and I would had another TB3 port as free for connecting a second monitor or dock station...

One Thunderbolt port is only good for 130W of power, the 7530 needs 180W and the 7730 needs 210W so both Thunderbolt ports are needed for full power.
The TB18 dock itself has a Thunderbolt port on it (and several display outputs) so you can plug in your accessory there...

You don't have to use the TB18 dock for power, the system can accept a regular power adapter as well and leave both Thunderbolt ports free.

Thank you very much for your answer. Will there be a loss in speed if I connect the Lacie 2big Dock Thunderbolt 3 to the TB18 dock and not directly to the notebook? Can I use any other TB3 dock such as PLUGABLE TBT3-UDV THUNDERBOLT™ 3 DOCKING STATION

or Select Series USB-C 3-Port USB 3.0 Adapter instead of TB18?

You can use any TB3 dock that you like, but the Dell TB18 dock will be the only one that can fully power the system. With other docks, you will have to connect the dock cable to the system in addition to the standard power cable, or you will run into power throttling.

This is different than the prior systems, 7X20 and 7X10, which only had one Thunderbolt port. There was no way to have a dock fully power those systems, a separate power cable was always required, a sticking point for some people. The TB18 and double Thunderbolt ports on the 7X30 allow the dock to fully power the system without a separate power cable needed.

I don't know about speed loss, I haven't ever tried daisy-chaining Thunderbolt docks, but I believe it would be minimal. However, I think that it makes more sense to just use the TB18 dock and attached Thunderbolt-based storage to its Thunderbolt port, if you need external storage, rather than using two full docks.

From what I can gather, the TB18 is exactly like the TB16 in terms of available ports, the difference is the double-Thunderbolt connector so that it can power the 7X30 laptops. As you can see, it provides a decent array of connectivity options.

Any chance to see a QHD display like in the new Alienware 17 R5?

It says 400 cd/m2 which sounds pretty nice for outdoor usage.

Agreed. Really wish someone made a non-gaming 17” QHD laptop. My eyes are good enough that I could run that with 100% scaling.

Do we know when the 7730 will be available in the UK and what price it will start at?

I'm sorry to bump my own request.
Do you guys have any insight whether this will be feasable or not?

And what about the 7530 option to have up to 128Gb of RAM, will it be an option available from the beginning or will it be something we could upgrade to later on?
    Thanks
