Ok, new benches from my 7760 with W-11855M Xeon CPU, 32GB ECC:

    https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/8921168
    1628 Single Core / 7779 Multi Core

    https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/44822696
    Gaming 118%
    UFO
    Desktop 105%
    UFO
    Workstation 110%
    UFO

All done in Optimized fan settings, not ultra performance! - Why? well.... my new 7760 got a slight hickup with the right fan :( (when its speeding up you hear something like "nok, nok nok nokokok" till its max when its silent again :( - tech incoming on friday )

Beside: my real work went from e.g. 10500-11000ms compile time downwards to 6500-7500ms in my developemen VM while the system stays nearly quite. Also the performance of the SSDs (took the 3 from my 7730 into the 7760 and placed them bottom) went up by 25%+ speedwise... im really well impressed so far.

    IMPORTANT:
Seems like the display banding (faint white horizontal line going across the whole screen when a bright area is displayed on a black background when screen is on max brightness ) is normal, or at least I think so.
In addition, the banding/artifacts between the colors in the Dell SupportAssist display checking tool is also normal for this panel.
I'm assuming these issues are normal because a tech replaced the whole display and the display cable, and these issues persist. Unfortunately, it looks like the new panel has more backlight bleed than the old one though they are the exact same model.
Images are attached of the issues.
It would be appreciated if anybody else with the 4k 120hz panel could confirm these issues exist.

Chasing down fan control options still. Wondering if a 7X60 owner can check this out for me. I need to know if the path I am chasing down with WMI/SMI is even viable.

    1. Download & install Dell Command | Monitor. Current version is 10.5.1. (I notice that Precision 7X60 is not listed under "supported systems", nor does Command | Monitor show up on the 7X60 driver page.)
    https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=6R88F

    2. After it is installed, open PowerShell "as administrator" and run this command:
Get-WmiObject -Query "Select CurrentReading, Caption FROM DCIM_NumericSensor WHERE ElementName LIKE 'Fan%'" -Namespace root/dcim/sysman

It should return a record with the current CPU fan speed. (If it doesn't show a value, try to do something to get your fan running and then try again.)
    Thanks...

Judging by the airflow of the fan, it seems like the reading of "2246" is accurate.

    OK thanks, this is good.
So if they have changed the interface that my program currently uses for fan measurement/control, at least the SMI interface is probably not changed (since around Precision 7X10).
I'll press forward, using my 7530 for testing until the 7560 shows up...

Dell told me my 7760 (replacement for a 7740 I've had a lot of problems with) would be arriving on 18th August. Then suddenly today, I get an email telling me it's arriving tomorrow!

Luckily in time for me to order 4 x 32GB 3200 MHz RAM modules for it for next day delivery!

Anyone has a Precision 7X60 with a Xeon? How does XMP work with it?

My 7760 has arrived! First impressions...

    - harder work to get the base cover off than the 7740 was (not that it matters really)
    - keyboard lattice is hard to get off - broke part of one of the tabs
    - "installed physical memory" is 128GB, but "total physical memory" is 127GB (where's the other 1GB gone?)
    - Maxx Audio isn't installed (I loved the bass boost it gave my headphones on the 7740) by default. Any reason? Incompatibility or anything?
    - shame there's no nipple in the middle of the keyboard. That was always a great feature.
    - no vents in the sides - hope cooling isn't worse than the 7740!

Just plugged it into my WD19DC docks and works fine, but is just doing a BIOS update so we'll see after that....
