Thanks for your suggestion. I must be inept, because holding "shift" while clicking "Restart" didn't get me anywhere but back to my standard login screen. However, your advice and that of SvenC I got the job done. This forum is really helpful! I'm learning more every day about how to be really dangerous (mainly for myself).

Would be interested in a fix list of that firmware if you get one. Good luck for your issues with that firmware-

I had a firmware update problem with my Precision 7730. I download BIOS 1.2.5 to update the current 0.7.3 from windows 10. Upon reboot, the update proceeded and the result was a boot with blank screen, battery led flashing 3 amber lights followed by 6 white lights and no access to BIOS.

BIOS update is a no brainer unless hardware failure exist within the laptop. Anyone else have a BIOS update problem?

Got a new TB18DC today and had no USB keyboard/mouse drop outs with the new dock so far - fingers crossed...

Has anybody figured out how to get the firmware version applied to the dock?
Maybe they sent me one with a newer firmware...

No, not yet. But on the bottom is the serial number. Last part is A00. I assume this is the HW revision ? Do you have something different now ?

So maybe the other controller versions are different, but I didn´t find any useful information how to read them.
