As of now, the 1.9.4 firmware update is being delivered automatically through Windows Update (to Windows 10 users anyway).

    Hey guys,

just got a new 7510 and im having a couple of issues,

I installed win 10 fresh and started working on updates/drivers, first time i installed updates nothing major happend and the computer was running fine until a couple hours ago (2:00 AM at the moment of writing this) that my windows flipped out and Start menu was not working, Wifi wasn't showing.

I formated and did a clean install, all i did was instlal Wifi drivers and let windows update for me, 1 hour later again the same thing after aperantly a windows update destroy'd the win install.

I formated for a 3rd time (28h~ after reciving the laptop new) and disabled windows updates using policy's and installed all drivers from dell website.

    So now to my questions:
    1. did this happen to any one? and is there a way to fix/cure this? (i dont want to run the system and not update it)
    2. PremierColor is not affecting the panel (4K) and keeps crashing, any idea why?

    Thank You

@Or Vanon . Besides the fresh windows, can you recall what else you've installed prior to it flipping out?

You mentioned dell Premeir in last sentance, not that it would cause issues. But if there were other things installed that you had not mentioned. Was there anything else installed perhaps?

    nothing...

and on the 2nd install it did it again after installing windows updates,

i am now on the 3rd fresh install and after installing all drivers and updating them without touching windows update, i clocked "Check for updates" so fingers corrosed it wont break things up again.

I'm still at 1.8.3 meaning that MS is not auto updating me to latest system bios. just don't know why is different for me. I'm not complaining. But seems Dell or MS should be able to explain. I admit I've not asked them as it doesn't effect me, I mean it is not unwillingly changing my bios without my consent.

some instances of windows just dont communicate as well for some reason and they just dont add the "firmware" option to the device manager,
just go to dell's website and download 1.9.4

does it happen after installing video drivers? I know that when my intel and nvidia drivers crash I lose part of the start menu.... it is cutoff partway. I wonder if it is with your version of video drivers you are using?

    UPDATE

after installing everything and then letting windows update its working, i hope nothing will brick it again.
will keep you posted, my Intel+nVidia drivers are from dell.

PremiereColor loads up, open's but crashes alot after clicking on some stuff in the software like moving it from advanced to basic.
