The HP Dock has a molded plastic connector that has the TB plug and Power Adapter barrel right beside it. The cable itself would not work with anything other than HP since the power adapter barrel would stop you from being able to plug it in. See a pic here - http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=4AA6-5088ENW

The TB spec is 100W. Dell is allowing up to 130W over it.

My 7510 has been shipped and I should get it on Thursday (exactly 7 days from purchase date). Interestingly, it is coming from Torrance California and not from China. My Precision 5510 also came from Torrance as well. Does Dell manufacture the Precision out of California?

My 7510 came from China. I believe my PowerEdge server came from Mexico. It's possible that some Dell units are still assembled in the US, but not that I've received.

Mine shipped from MOUNT JULIET, TN, and I had quite a few non-default items.
    It arrived in 2 days

Interesting Chod. When they sent me a replacement laptop due to an issue with my 5510, it came from Mount Juliet, TN as well. The replacement was a refurbished laptop where they also had non standard components in them such as a non PCIe SSD drive but instead a m2 SATA 2 drive. I returned the replacement and opt for a motherboard replacement instead.

Well, I received the laptop today and all I can say is the touch screen is beautiful. Interestingly, it is a glossy display and I think it's the same display as my 5510 machine which has the
15.6" UltraSharp UHD IGZO(3840x2160) Touch Wide View LED-backlit with Camera and Microphone. It is super bright and I am happy.

For those of you who are concerned with the dimness of the quality of the display and are willing to to have a 1900x1200 display, then I recommend this model.

BTW: On the 5510, I can use a 2 fingers on the touch pad to perform a right click. It appears I am not able to do this same gesture on the 7510.

Initial thoughts: my UHD screen is pretty good.
It's not perfect. There is slight dimming at an angle.
At normal typing distance, if I look at the edges (so 30 degree angle?) it is slightly dimmer, maybe 5 percent?
I can notice If I try really hard, but it's a far cry from distracting.

I don't notice any screen door effect (I think) camera photo of screen:

Keep in mind the dell circle is about 9mm wide on the screen, if you want a 'normal' view.

Random photo from a youtube video:

No blatent color cast like some people see.
Brightness is okay, but I'm not into 'blow your eyes out' brightness anyway.

hwinfo says the screen is a Sharp LQ156D1, manufactured Week 36, 2015.

    Some other comments:
    1) The 'press F12 to go to boot menu' was TINY, I didn't see it at all! welcome to 4K, ha ha ha
    2) The 'trackpoint eraser' feels a bit soft/mushy. The Lenovos was much better. Maybe just need getting used to.
    3) They sent the wrong fingerprint reader - I wanted the swipe one, and I got the 'press on the square one'. So far I don't like it at all. It's not reading my fingers right. But I think I have to learn the 'right' way to press on it.
    4) The Primary battery charge configuration menu option is disabled if you have the 'long life 91 watt battery'.
    5) Had one BSOD already when I was doing a slow install of microsoft office through a network drive.

Another side note: the 'two finger tap for right click' works just fine for me.

Just receiver the new one with 2 NVMe drive inside.
Note for anyone will take secondary NVMe drive: The link width in Interposer slot is x2, not x4 like primary slot.

    1) 7710 UHD user here. Can confirm that the orange font when pressing F2 or F12 is super tiny. must be even more so on 15".

    2) yep. Dell "pointstick" is mushy and I think everyone agrees. There are a few good threads how to convert IBM or Lenovo thinkpad trackpoint to work with our Dell's. But I use a Mouse or trackpad and haven't pursued it.

    4) That is normal if you ordered a Polymer Lithium Ion Long Life battery. Express charging is not possible with Poly Li Ion Long Life.... rest assured that your battery will last longer though (as in, last longer before swapping it for a replacement battery). Downside is that it will charge slower than non-poly

    5) Check Event viewer to see if more clues... else perhaps it was a fluke with office. I had one BSOD on my 7710 after receiving it. In my case it was from the Dell optimizer software that checks for driver updates (oddly the Dell app/software meant to keep me up to date, it crashed).. have not used that since. I check for driver updates manually now

Planning to buy a 7510 soon.
My goal is to run 3 2560x1440 monitors with it (along with the laptop display, for a total of 4 displays active). I see that that is possible using the TB15 (Thunderbolt) docking station, but that the TB15 is apparently off the market right now due to a massive amount of issues.

Is there any other mechanism to run three 2560x1440 monitors from the Dell Precision 7510 laptop? From what I've read, both the m1000m and the m2000m will both support this. Could I daisy-chain either the DisplayPort or the Thunderbolt to two of them? The OS will be Windows 10.

Any ideas on if this is possible in any way?

Note: The tricky part here is the external third monitor is at a high resolution (2560x1440), therefore the typical options like using VGA on the back of the Pro2X Docking Station or the WD15 won't work (based on what I've read).
