    99% yes.

The only exception would be if you got one with a Xeon processor and ECC memory; you can't mix ECC and non-ECC memory. But I think it's very unlikely that you have a Xeon and ECC and don't know about it.

I just purchased a 7510 with the same issue as your screen. Did you ever get a resolution from Dell on this?

I have 2X16GB Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR4-2400 to install under the keyboard when it gets here.I also have 2X16GB SK hynix DDR4-2133 I may try in the bottom slots (easier to remove if it's unstable) that was left over from the Latitude E5570 I returned for refund two weeks ago. I have seen some stability issues when mixing DDR4 memory of differing speed and latency. I don't know the cause exactly (many variables), but I should be OK with just the 32GB Crucial. I'm sure I could sell the SK hynix on fleabay and get more 2400 Crucial if I need it later.

The E5570 was to be the replacement for my current battleship (the aforementioned C840) but after experiencing random shut-downs and BSODs, I lost confidence in it's ability to provide the kind of service I've experienced from the old girl.

It (E5570) was sent in to the service depot at 3 weeks of age where they replaced the motherboard, heat sinks, keyboard bezel and memory but, when it came back, four of the screws in the bottom cover were completely stripped from the (new/refurb?) motherboard and just rattling in their holes (screws are retention type so they don't easily fall out) Needless to say, I immediately wiped the drive and returned it for refund (I had already started the return process while it was in service, JIC ;))

Apparently, Dell is employing monkeys with hammers to repair their units these days
Hopefully, I won't be forced to allow them to molest my "Precious" 7510.

Looking forward to sharing my experiences with my new "light" battleship!

Hehe yeah, she was an oldie but goody

I mean when you have a rear end like this, what's not to love?!
Not to mention 4:3 display, TWO optic drives and TWO PCIe expansion card slots ;)

BTW, in case anyone wants to know, I got a Toshiba SSD and a Seagate HDD in the 7510.

The mixed memory is functioning fine so far, although I noticed in CPU-Z it shows the slots numbered differently from Dell's letter assignments.
They are paired 1-3 (bottom) and 2-4 (under keyboard) in CPU-Z but Dell lettered the pairs A-B, C-D.

Any ideas on how the MB pairs the dual channel?

    that c840 was a beauty.

Regarding the 7510 RAM, in the manual they say that the RAM under the bottom cover is considered "primary memory" and the RAM under the keyboard they are calling it "secondary memory". That leads me to think that installing RAM under one side of the mobo would be a pair for dual channel. But I don't know for certain, maybe someone will share

Just wanted to see if any Precision 7510 users could help me with this..... If I tap my finger on the left side of the wrist rest (to the left of the trackpad, just above the symbol for wireless smart card) the bezel is firm, solid, and motionless. However, if I tap on the area to the right of the trackpad (right next to the fingerprint reader) the bezel seems weaker and a little risen. When I tap on it it makes a small tapping noise where the other side above the smart card reader has no sound. Does anyone else experience this?

Took me a minute to figure out exactly what you are saying, but yes, I am seeing this too.

    @Greensandblues
I don't have a 7510, but have two 7710's and I'm seeing the same thing in both of them. Except it is on the far left of the palmrest, just above where the security card slot is. If I tap the palmrest there with my finger it is a bit of flex and hollow "clack" sound but is mostly unnoticeable. The palmrest is solid in all other areas (our two laptops do not have fingerprint reader device). I think it may be from not having palmrest "clips" at these areas. Its not a big deal to me as I have forgotten about it until now.
