@Meng Jin Do you have a Docking Station? If so, could you please test if Ubuntu works with external monitors attached to the dock?

    Thanks!

    9. I thought this was the case with my M6700 but they loosened up a bit over time. Might just be something you deal with until you plug/unplug stuff enough times.
    10. From Bitlocker control panel, there is a "TPM administration" option in bottom left. Have you gone there and issued the command "prepare the TPM"? I've had to do this before Bitlocker would work before.

A good concise little overview. Thank you.

Regarding the mouse freezing in windows. That would happen often on my old m6500 too but only when using the trackpad (windows 7)... I tried numerous drivers and versions and never overcame that problem. It never happened while using the mouse though. I use a mouse with the trackpad disabled for the past 5+ yrs. I'm hopeing what you describe regarding the pointer freezing is not common or at least fixable (or at very least isolated to the trackpad and not the mouse)

    9) If you have USB drives you care about (more importantly USB hardlocks) attach them to a USB extension first. That way you don't wear them out. I learned this the hard way and a replacement hardlock cost me $200.

I have tried almost everything with TPM including clearing it and doing "prepare TPM" in Windows 10. I've also tried disabling USB boot in BIOS. Nothing worked. :(

I realized that this problem happens when I click icons in notification area the first time after booting. It looks like UI thread of Windows freezes (or just too slow). If I click them again, it rarely freezes. More like a software issue.

Yes, I have an E-Dock Plus connected to a Dell 4k P2415Q monitor. Ubuntu works without any problem.
