Which is very frustrating because a salesman should know the product they are selling inside and out and be prepared to answer all questions a potential customer may have, especially as these are business machines which can cost $2k or more.
I am not saying Dell should only hire computer enthusiasts but they shouldn't hire people that only spew out sales words either.
It's not just Dell, I see it with other manufacturers too.

    Based off of this thread:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/class-40-vs-class-50-ssd.793155/

Its some form of Dell internal nomenclature. From what I am getting, the "class" thing does not make a difference.

Have you considered just getting the smallest M.2 SSD that you can (so that you can get the large battery as well) and just getting an aftermarket M.2 SSD to save on money? You will have to install Windows on your own though.

I going to purchase this under company budget.
I will need to use it for ProE CREO 3.0. Not sure if AMD graphic card has problem on running the software.

You might want to check if the card is in the software's approved list of GPUs. CAD programs can be finicky sometimes when it comes to drivers.

I've never had issues with solid works and a non-approved gpu. Not sure about Creo.

For what it's worth, I have been using a 3510 for about a week. There are several unique features:
    1) Xeon CPU - I think Dell is the only one selling this
    2) Samsung PM951(1TB) - I don't think you can get this NVMe anywhere else but Dell
    3) 32GB ECC
    4) 4-cell 62Wh battery

However, it keeps shutting down in an uncontrolled manner. The worst part is that the issue is not unique to just one unit, we have a few of these - and it occurs on the others as well.

I have put up a YouTube video that shows the issue

If anyone else has a 3510 with a Xeon, can you try running Passmarks's BurnInTest when on battery? Please include the following in your report a) BIOS version b) battery size c) memory size d) Storage drive size/type e) LCD Type (IPS,FHD etc) f) OS & version. If you are using an NVMe & Windows, let us know if you installed IRST and Samsung's NVMe driver, and how the BIOS is configured to boot(ie secure, AHCI, raid, etc)

Are you using the latest BIOS (1.7.3), released on 7th July? There is also the, now superseded, BIOS 1.06.03, released on 27th June. Two such releases in quick succession suggests that Dell is aware, of and trying to fix, some problems.

I also recall reading elsewhere that similar problems were fixed by installing Samsung's NVMe driver. There is some guidance here.

Do you have access to a Dell 3510 with a Xeon/32GB/62Wh Battery/1TB NVMe? If so, can you try running the BurnInTest program and report back the results?

There was a considerable amount of detail in the video. The 2nd title page in the video highlights that the July 7th BIOS (1.7.3) was installed. (The previous BIOS was 1.06.03) One Item that was not covered, was that I ran ePSA in extended mode, and it validated. I have already reported the issue to Dell, and they are considering their options.

Sorry that the answer to my question was in the video which I didn't watch.

I've got the E5570 with i5-6440HQ and an SATA SSD. It's worked fine for the past two months except for one HAL_INITIALIZATION_FAILED error on return from sleep. I did, however, have initial problems with the display (including an external display) turning purple and Dell replaced the mainboard, display and display cable.

I've also just ordered a Precision M5510 (from Dell UK Outlet) which I hope doesn't share the problems you are seeing. The main issues appear to be Thunderbolt related. However, you might want to look through the XPS 9550 discussion in case there is something relevant to your problem.
