Thats just the base clock. You can use Throttlestop to force constant 4 core turbo of 3.3Ghz. Its technically not overclocking, just forcing 4 core turbo.

Its what I do on my 2670qm for a constant 2.8Ghz. Even with the m5100 I can fully saturate the 2670qm @ 2.8Ghz in Rainbow 6 Siege

If it doesnt work with your system then look for ThrottleStop 6.00, its what I had on my old system but should be good to go

yeah as TheReciever mentioned i got from eBay before the m5100 reduced it's price now it is cheaper when i was looking for it was on 90 or more so i took the risk to try that one but as i mentioned seems that i requires the other lcd the IPS, weird but yeah i don't get the point if its AMD and it runs on pci express 2 instead 1.1 and the other option was the m4000 that it's not better at all than the m5950, but for the price it's cool and better cheap option than the fancy Alienware, and of course it won't handle Ivy Bridge, i have a spare 3320m and it didn't boot

Just create a OS startup routine.

RX 560 is about on par with the 965m according to user benchmark

First of all, I'm sure that RX560 will work just fine, but it's quite possible that there is no support for LVDS. Performance wise, it's twice as powerful as OCed M5100 and somewhere around 1050 and 1050 Ti depending on games and is definitely nowhere near 1060 (1060 is like RX560 in CrossFire). The only solution for M4600 would be motherboard + IPS panel upgrade for reasonable price.

SX4000 - I've looked into the vBIOS some months ago and it definitely lacks LVDS support on software level. But it looks identically to M5100 and have the same IDs, so it might be possible to successfully flash vBIOS from M5100. But before attempting this, you should know what to do if there would be no luck with currently flashed vBIOS. If the laptop can't pass through the POST and have black screen, there is only one way to do recover without soldering process: you should locate pin 1 and 8 on the vBIOS flash module, bridge them, let the laptop to pass through POST, release the bridge, boot into windows or dos to flash back working vBIOS. I don't recommend you to short the pins other than 1 and 8, coz your card could be damaged.

Yeah, M4600 is good laptop with a nice price. But software and hardware limitations are painful in 2017. And currently IDK should I keep it or build some Ryzen fanless HTPC setup...

P.S. Have tried W5170M on M4800 recently and the problem still there - laptop can't read GPU temps and control GPU fan (which is not combined with CPU like in M4600). BTW, there was no problem running LVDS screen, coz there is Intel + AMD hybrid graphics mode (unlike in M4600 and M4700).

You are right but i will pass i don't want to mess more, it seems that removing the m5950 i broke it because i have no video when in reinstalled it just a black screen and in my case the backlit keyboard now i have to wait to get the m5100 next week if it still available and return the S4000x, it would be great as a desktop replacement but also i think it has the same issue that you mentioned... fan and them is not working properly.

Please let us know how it goes.
RX560 Mobile ranks 81st in the world. Not bad for only $180.
How much did you pay to get it shipped to you?

According to Technical city website, RX 560 is better than 1060 Max-Q version, of course not the real 1060.

Yeah it all hinges on if it supports LVDS. Would be awesome if it does.
