Any news on what GPU upgrades work in the M4600 (bios A16)?

    How about the Premiercolor version?

Anyone running a NVIDIA QUADRO 5010M 4GB GDDR5 (N12-Q5-A1 DELL OEM ) in their M4600? I just ordered one for mine.

I've read the entire thread and will make sure my Bios is A16. Any advise/driver resources, etc would be very much appreciated.
If all goes well I will have a 3100M for sale. Laptop arrives this week.
    Thanks in advance

uh oh, thanks. What is the most powerful card I can run in it?
    I was hoping a GTX 780m or 880m. Anyone?

Scroll up to Rob's post. Options are limited. High end GeForce cards are also available only in MXM 3.0b. The only NVIDIA cards that I am aware of are the 1000 and 2000 level Quadros.

Indeed, from what I understand not even the K2000M / K2100M (currently the highest performing 3.0a cards) are an option. I have tried a Kepler card myself - K1100M - and the GPU chip is not high enough to make contact with the heatsink.

I suggest you upgrade to the larger M6x00 if you want a powerful card. There are many options available there.

I'm going to try a K2100M card. I saw earlier post were someone was unsuccessful. Anybody successfully running a K2100M?

Don't get your hopes up. I don't see why K2100M would be any different than K1100M.
