M4000 are dirtcheap, I'd try to get one of those, why not sell your cpu & gpu on Ebay?

Maybe the two items together, could very well cover the pirce of purchase of the M4000?

Was asking for location because of possibly sending (selling) my M4000 to you (if you would be interested),
but shipping outside the European community, unfortunately is too much of a hassle.

Weird, I don't see any sort of lag with my M4800 docked.

There's no HDMI connector on the dock. Are you using an adapter off of the DisplayPort or DVI? Could be what is introducing the lag. (I've never experienced lag with the dock.)

I took your advice and went ahead and ordered the M4000. Just trying to figure out the heat sink situation, hopefully all goes well!

Is there any direct, plug and play replacement for the 2000M?
    I've tried a K2100M, just a black screen..

But, would my current nvidia heatsink fit on a firepro?

I guess I could just order one and try.

For the M6700, the AMD and nVidia heatsinks are different, you could ask Dell.

does the amd firepro 5100m actually work with the dell m4600? I need an upgrade and this seems like the best option second to buying a new laptop.
