Because I've already replaced the bezel three times along with the palm rest. I've also replaced the keyboard twice, since one of the techs broke off one of the connectors. Also had to replace the motherboard...plus this is my 4th latitude already. I tried to get Dell support to do a exchange to a different Latitude model but they wouldn't go for it. So I'm stuck with the E6400 which I'm okay with for now.

oh ok, so then remove the keyboard bend it down at the center without breaking it by exaggerating the bent, and install it back. As mentioned, when you press on the pointy stick you should have minimal flex (under about 1mm going down).
I know I had the same issue once, and got it fixed by doing that. Then I got at some point a laptop rebuild, and on the new one, like most people, didn't have the issue. My guess is that Dell had a bad batch of keyboard... maybe someone hit the box bending the keyboards, or the company that makes the keyboard changed the way they pack the keyboard which make it bend...
I mean the keyboard is on an thin aluminum plate.. so it's easy to bend it.

yeah, I might do that when I get a chance. It's not so bad that I honestly really care at this point.
