Have you accidentally pressed Fn+F2 which disables the charging (but this normally resets at the next reboot)?

    Try pressing Fn+F2 again.

What does the battery info module of RMclock show?

What is the battery charge status (% of capacity) and is the charge rate zero or something very small?

Does the battery recharge when the computer is switched off?

Did you try removing and replacing the battery?

Ummm... If the PSU will run the computer (try both with and without battery) but won't charge the battery even when the computer is off then my suspicion falls on the power board in the computer.

Does the Dell BIOS level diagnostics (press F12 at the BIOS screen) include anything for checking this?

My diagnosis is a dead power supply.

I normally travel with two. If you fancy having a second one and have the Intel GPU then this should work fine. I got one last week. It's not quite as small as the Dell 65W travel PSU but it is half the price.
