Nothing inherently wrong with SF SSD. I own 2, my Agility 2 is going on like 7 months now, no hiccups whatsoever to report.

Really the only feature I personally installed it for was the on-screen audio level indicator when you hit the up/down buttons. Other than that there's probably nothing it can offer that doesn't have a relatively simple alternate solution.

    Hey Zoid!

The only reason I use it is for the Max Battery Life power scheme. It shuts down devices like the optical drive to get more time away from AC.

Thanks Spill and Bokeh....spend all my time over on Linux Forum....yeah, I just realized I don't have on screen audio indicator...haha...but I DO in Linux, so there's probably a windows applet for that so....Max Battery could be useful sometime....I'll ponder it....

Can anyone share experience with putting OSX onto the M6500. There was some minor discussion, but it all seems pretty old. Haven't seen anything about this that recently on here.

Anyone done this recently? Would be interested to know what distribution people have used successfully. I just added an 80GB PCIe-mini SSD and would like to use this for the Snow Leopard OS. I'm particularly concerned about support for the TI Firewire Chipset. This is very important to me, since unders Window 7 this has proved so far to be a phenomenally stable audio sequencing laptop.

    Any thoughts out htere?
