Nothing, you overclock the turbo multiplier limit not the base multiplier if you don't run an intensive cpu program it will stay down clocked :)

Quick question for owners of the M6500...the fan vents on the bottom...do they push out air or take in air?

To me, one of the best things about the M6500 vs M6400 really is the anti-glare (matte) RGBLED display. On my (now retired) M6400, glare/glossy isn't a deal breaker, but if given a choice I prefer the matte displays.

    Enjoy! :)

I get the same speeds with the 256MB. Mine came configured like yours and i changed to AHCI in bios and it booted fine. I also updated to the latest firmware (used aronis to backup, did firmware, then restored with acronis true image).

In windows assessment, I was getting a 5.9 for hard drive. I then installed the intel matrix drive and now I get 6.9. However, read/write speeds with diskmark really did not change

I installed an Intel 25M 80gb as a boot drive this week and was not 100% sure of which Intel Drive Manager to use.

It looks like Intel Rapid Storage Technology software has replaced the Intel Matrix Storage software. Is this correct? That we should be installing just the new IRST software?
