i got that message also... but if you change the drop down menu to "Steps Only" then you'll see photos of the teardown. I think the teardown vids are not working yet.

Thanks for the link worldww3. thats cool

The photos also show the part number to the Samsung 64gb mini pcie ssd

    MMDPE64GEDXP

But I couldn't find any details about it other than this Samsung list:

it seems that the video card can also be replaced separately from the entire board. maybe it is after all the standard mxm type card with the heat sink attached? will find out tomorrow once i get my system.

You can download an ATI plugin (for free) that will increase video encoding speed in Adobe Premiere by up to 8x. http://www.amd.com/us/press-releases/Pages/amd_ati_stream_technology-2009jun15.aspx.aspx

You can buy an NVIDIA plugin that will increase video encoding speed in Adobe Premiere by up to 6x. (Some of their literature says up to 11x, however the 6x specifically refers to a system with dual Quadro FX 3800 graphics.) http://www.nvidia.com/object/IO_62559.html

I suspect that the NVIDIA plug-in is a bit more mature.

There will be very little difference between the two for image editing.

Personally, I think the NVIDIA 3800 is overpriced.

EDIT: I just browsed through the ATI forum, and the plug-in appears to still be in pretty rough "beta" form. Hopefully they will get the bugs worked out soon.

So, the best answer for now is, "if you have the bucks, go for the NVIDIA solution." :)

Well, the RAM stick still have not made arrived. Dell rep was going to build my system with the 4gb ram instead of 8 and then send the new ram sticks.

Suprise. The LCD panel is backordered till Jan 25!!!!
