I've had a reasonable quote from Dell for an M6500 with the specs I require which is 10% lower than the online price, however I want more like 20-25% off, so that I can match the price of a Lenovo with the same specs. Do you think this is a realistic discount to aim for?

I see Dell has new firmware for the samsung drive. Thre are two versions. one is for the PM800 and the other is PM800 FDE.

does anyone know the difference? An can you install without wiping the data?

chatted with dell. FDE is Full Drive Encryption. The rep said it will not erase the data, but the documentation says it will.

Anyone used Quidco.com for their purchase, if I combine their cashback offer of 10% with my quote then I get the price I require???

According to the Notebookcheck: Notebook & Laptop Reviews and News, the FX-2800M has a 75W TDP, the FX-3800M has a 100W TDP (a noticeable jump from FX-3700M's 75W) and the M7820 is not specified. It has the same specs as 5870M which is rated as 50W, but normally the Nvidia Quadros have somewhat higher rated TDP's than the regular cards so it's possible the same goes for ATI. although, since Nvidia cards are made on 55 nm technology and the ATI is on 40 nm, it's bound to consume much less. The ATI seems like a logical choice (it's like $750 cheaper than the stronger Nvidia) since it should have the same or better level of performance.

    Hi

Dont know how to unistall Ati FirePro M7740 8.681.0.0 driver in order to Install the new driver 8.702

    Can someone help me? please.

I follow this path. "Start menu/Control panel/Programs"----> Doesnt show anything related with ATi in order to uninstall.

So I went to. "Start menu/control panel/Apariencia y Personalizacion/Display/Display resolution/Advanced setting/Settings/Driver"-----> Shows me the 8.681.0.0 version and I click in Unistall driver & check the box with remove software.

Done this automatically screen size is reduce. If I boot again, windows install automatically the driver again. So the second time i did this I installed the new driver 8.702 and right now Appears an Ati Catalyst Install Manager icon in Add/Remove programs, but i when i check the version shows me the old one in the path: "Start menu/control panel/Apariencia y Personalizacion/Display/Display resolution/Advanced setting/Settings/Driver"

So I belive that I did not do a proper installation. Should I delete manually all the files related with this driver in Windows?
