Called 1 800 283 2210 and did option 3,2,1,1 and entered my order number. This gives you more detail about the status of your order.

My order went in Dec 2nd. Current estimated ship date is Dec 23rd due to parts availability. Est delivery date on the web order status is still Jan 4.

The first M6500's are supposed to ship on the 15th or 16th according to the Dell Premier page on Dec 1.

Does anyone have an est ship date of next week? You will have to call the 1 800 number to find out.

Is it possible to install regular drivers for these graphics cards in order to play games more efficiently..? Or are the professional drivers good enough..?

Dell has now delayed delivery of my m6500 from Dec 16 to January 27 with the excuse that suppliers have not held their delivery dates. I wonder if they are refering to Intel's i7-920XM quad-core chips are on short supply?.

A Dell sales rep called and told me that it was due to lack of supplies of 500GB disks. I had ordered a 500GB as a second disk but it was OK to remove it from the order and I got a new date of delivery for 2009-12-30.

Too bad about the disk supply but great to get some information and be able to change the order!

You probably don't want the Seagate 500GB 7200RPM anyways. Isn't it the same drive that Macbook users have complained about? The beeping and other stuff with the sensor getting tripped?
