    Bokeh,

a short question about the audio passthrough from displayport->HDMI :
Do you happen to know if this also supports 7.1 lossless bitstreams? (as in BluRay DTS-MA or Dolby TrueHD)
I know the old ATI products only supported audio passthrough up to about 6Mb/s but I don't know what the newer nvidia and ATI products are capable of.
Also can you point me in the direction of any documentation about the audio passthrough of the firepro and 2800/3800, I can't find anything by googling.

    Thanks for your help!!

Looks like we are both right. 10 bit color should be there, but there is no way to confirm it working.

See the Anandtech review of the Dell U2711 monitor as tested with the M6500

Thinking of ordering one of these over the weekend. I already have an M4400 with QX9300. I was planning to keep that as my mobile device and get a full spec M6500 as a desktop replacement.

Anyone got any advice about RAID 0 with 2 x 256gb SSD's? I've read conflicting reports about the pro's and con's. Would it be best to have two non-raid SSD's or one RAID 0 SSD?

Their "missing link" was the "deep color" enabled application. Photoshop CS4 is "deep color" enabled, so if you're using Photoshop, all the links in the chain should be connected.

Because of the good advices here in the forum (thanks!), I ordered two M6500's today.

    1920x1200 WLED, 64GB SSD, 250GB HDD (we'll replace these), 4x2GB (1066MHz), webcam, slot-loading drive, i7-820QM, Bluetooth, Dell 1510 WLAN, slim power adapter.

    €1820 without VAT

Dell said the laptops should be here Feb 17th.

We might completely switch from HP to these machines for the whole team (we'll see).

Man, if only these machines had USB 3. Some of the other brands are shipping or have announced it already.

What's the chance of Dell quickly putting together a M6510 with USB 3 and Intel 6300 wi-fi?

EDIT: Also, what the post above me says.
