New Dell Percision M4800 +QHD Display Haswell Core

dell removed the 30% discount so now the price went back up.

 

After some persistence and a lot of complaining, I was able to get them to offer a $200 credit. Of course they said it's their policy not to offer compensation for order delays and it was a one time courtesy, but you can probably get the same if you are persistent.

 

I ordered mine on October 9th and it shipped on the 21st. Like yours, I ordered mine with the QHD+ display. No issues with the order at all, sorry.

 

This was from Dell Canada and the original estimated ship date was the 28th, so all in all it looks like I'm ahead of the game here.

 

pkadare, was that a customized build or a standard configuration? Mine has been/is taking waaaay longer that that.

 

This is surprising. Dell called me today to let me know they had to delay my order again. They actually wanted to cancel my order and place a new one. When I brought up that you had received yours and ordered after I had the dell rep basically called me a liar and asked for your order number. She told me that none had been shipped out because of the supply issue. I'm not really sure what to believe at this point. I will mention that my current ship date is November 11th and the ship date on their website says November 4.

At any rate if you wouldn't mind giving me your order number I would love love love to call into dell and provide that to them and see what they have to say.

I'm in the same boat, which is why I was wondering if maybe pkadare ordered a standard configuration. I'm currently pushing my rep to honor coupon code WCD076MH17DW4M (for 20% off) or match it as a credit.

 

............................................It's not good showing the coupon in public.No one will get the benefit. Dell will be harder. And our customers will get less coupon if we always do this.

I had the same situation.
I place the m4800 QHD+ panel order around sep 20th. At last Friday and Today Dell told me to cancel the order because of the incompatible part and may place another order. The new est. delivery date is Nov 11th. Actually I guess Dell is doing some thing good to us. The machine in the original order may have some flaw. You can check the Dell US official site and see the M4800 bios have been updated 3 times in first two weeks. The 15' QHD+ panel and K2100m are totally new stuff. While 13' QHD+ panel is 6-bit color width based. The 15' may be the 8 bit based. And there is no NV chip has the weird 576 pipeline. So I guess that may be something wrong with the first batch QHD+ m4800 machine. Dell found it, doesn't ship them and forces us to cancel the order. That's my view.

I'm just posting a coupon code that was already posted in another thread on this same forum.

I was able to get them to give me a 20% credit since it was already too late to apply the coupon without canceling and placing a new order.
