    Yes, off cource.
My bad is I can't manage to work it on my Alienware M18x R2. In the full PEG mode in UEFI boot I have 8 beeps and black screen, in mixed UEFI/Legacy mod - only black screen without beeps. In SG mode with UEFI/Legacy mod I'm able to boot in Windows and install drivers with .inf mod of course, but after reboot I have black screen after Windows boot logo.

    Hi there.
There is no guide yet ,sorry about that.
I did enable Optimus and Legacy boot on the Bios.
The heatsink has to be the one we used for the GTX 980m
    Besides that it works great.

    Thank you for your answer!
Maybe you can share your vBIOS and how you installed the drivers in your case?

hi mate. im a m6800 user and my motherboard is an lvds display port type. i strongly confirm that an m5000m works flawless with just the inf mod. confirmed to be working with the a03 and a16 bios. didn't have the opportunity with other bios versions but it is rest assured it pretty much will work out of the box.

regarding the heatsink, it is recommended to get the nvidia version as there might be changes in vrm heights and other components might not fit the heatsink cut layout. anyhow, test it with the heatsink to know maybe? if not, then order an m5000m one.

although i would like to tell you that the heatsink that comes with the k3100m will work but needs some filing operations to be performed. i will create a full post on my laptop and upgrades soon.

I found the amd heat sink to be a better fit than the base NV heat sink but if you can find the maxwell heat sink then that is the one to use. Supposedly it will work without any modifications. Otherwise you need to remove about 0.05 inches or about 1.25mm to clear all of the chip packages.
