The "Unknown device" may be the freefall sensor. Do you have the driver for that installed already?

The Teredo thing is the IPv4-to-IPv6 tunneling interface. It doesn't need a special driver (it is built into Windows and it's not even a real device, but a virtual one), not sure why it is showing an error for you.

Thanks Aaron - that was it, in both cases.

My system hasn't been re-installed since new (almost 3 years), and I even didn't notice how things started screwing up. Time for the clean install!

My Delta lasted about a year before giving out.

Well, aparently both the Delta and the Flextronics are fine in my case (the former after some ~2 years); the screen isn't.

Dell Europe will not change the screen with anything other than the LG and the AUO is a little hard to get independently here. So I'll bite the bullet and go for the Chi Mei, which is in stock with one trustworthy local supplier, especially since I've read a spate of good reviews of the model lately (good brightness, great contrast, good angles and acceptable coating).

    I'll keep you posted...

I doubt it's that much better... You can also get a 7970M unless you need special drivers.

Well, better performance (forgot what % exactly), less heat, more battery, better opencl/CAD, GCN architecture, you can't really ask for much more.

I have a new (to me) M6600 and now i'm having issues on cold boots. If I leave it sit for a bit of time, it won't load the desktop. I have it set to no GUI boot and everything seems to load fine, but at the point where it should load the desktop it goes to a black screen and mouse pointer, but never completes. If I hard power it off and back on, it boots right up no problems.

It's 2x as fast as the 6970m(what the m8900 is based on)

But, they are out of stock right now. The saga continues...
