Will the firepro m6000 work in an m6600? And if so do I need the firepro drivers or do the regular catalyst mobility drivers work?
My M6600 has some scratches around the corner and I want to change the case. VRTJR is the right part number for this ?

    Thank you.

Hardly any problems with the system as far as I know and I owned one moded with an AMD 7970m for almost a year now. Any warranty left on it?

M6600 is a solid system. This thread is a good resource for figuring out issues.

I think they were introduced in April-ish 2011, all M6600 should have a three-year warranty (minimum) so you may still be covered there too, not sure what the warranty transfer process is.

After having the M6600 for a year now, I just had the power adapter fail.

It brings up a message when booting up that "... AC power adapter wattage and type cannot be determined." The system will boot up but without turbo boost.

It is still under warranty so no problem with replacement.

However, this is the second time I have experienced a power adapter failure. The first time was on a different M6600.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced a problem with the M6600 power adapter?

    -----

Update note: Just got the power adapter replacement from Dell today...FedEx shipped overnite. WOW...that was really fast service!

Both of my power supplies are from Flextronics, still fine. There are others from Delta.

Don't know if this makes a difference or not.

August 2011 and still happy with mine.

The power adapter that failed was from Delta. The replacement they just sent is Flextronics. So hopefully the new one will last longer.

Hey I got my M6600 but it was damaged in shipping :(
eBay seller refunded me $200 so I can replace the damage parts...
the whole base got damaged and a little bent... how hard would replacing the base of the laptop be? (Not the bottom cover)
    Thanks.

If it works fine, I would just keep the $200 ~~

Pretty much have to disassemble everything include the display assembly and motherboard.
