Thanks tijo. I just have some issues from time to time with my laptop and it is not the RAM so I was wondering whether it is the video card which is what I suspect it might be. I will take a look at Furmark and 3DMark to see which is best. Cheers.

Anyone try newer amd gpu drivers on m6600? Using amd previous release 9.003.3-WHQL-M12-121120a-150831C-Dell on win 8 which is a few day newer than a01.

Even dell a03 (9.10) break my brightness control.

Though I find a fun way to quickly change brightness : roll back driver -> change -> update driver, all done in device manager.

Hey Baii, it looks like we are using the same driver (9.003.3-121120a-150831C-Dell) but my brightness controls work fine. Have you tried uninstalling the whole thing using the control panel, which opens up the CCC manager, uninstalling everything, then reinstalling all features again? I'm not sure if it's the driver or not, because I think the brightness controls should work everywhere (even on bios) and I do recall changing brightness on bios before, I'll post back to verify once I restart.

They also have a new version up on the website that came out a few days ago (6/25/2013): AMD FirePro

You should install that if you have any problems, I don't know if it'll fix it, but it is the latest version. Good luck on fixing it, I had my own problems with CCC (read below) but they eventually fixed themselves.

    ---------

So about the CCC... I've been having lots of problems with it myself. When I first installed it Windows 8 on 1/25/2013, about 5 options showed up on the left side (http://img507.imageshack.us/img507/5927/information.jpg). It was weird, I expected a lot more, where was eyefinity? Where was hydravision? Where was the option to change firepro settings? I kept uninstalling and reinstalling but to no avail, no other options showed up. A few weeks pass by then eventually 8 options showed up (http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/171/1012ccc2.png), keep in mind though these pictures aren't mine.

As time went by, options just randomly started appearing. Eventually, HydraVision showed up, which was about 3 months ago. For the longest time I kept wanting to work with EyeFinity, but there was NEVER an option that showed up for it. NONE. It was honestly just a few hours ago that it suddenly appeared out of thin air, I just opened up CCC to see if anything new had appeared, and there it was, EYEFINITY. For the longest time it was hidden, I was clueless why it didn't show up, but now it does (), and I now have a total of 12 options that show up on the left side. Who knows if there will be more to come in the future? I think only time will tell... Honestly I expected the options to appear right out of the box, but no. I had to wait months before they appeared.... I don't think this software was designed for that, but that's how it happened to me.

I didn't go through any drastic setup changes, no video setting changes, no graphics card updates, nothing. The options just did not appear instantly, and I had to wait a while before they started appearing.

So now that I have the EyeFinity option working, I'm going to try it with a third monitor. Even though I have a Dell eport plus docking station, for some reason it won't let me display on 3 screens using DVI for one and VGA for the other (no matter what settings I tried, and I tried for hours). Other people had the same problem earlier in the forums and some on other forums, and a solution was to use 2 'active' display port cables, so I ordered two of those and we'll see if that fixes the problem.

    My sentence was bit arkward.

I mean 9003.3 work fine, but any newer break brightness control.

Once upon a time I remember I have eyefinity tab, now is gone also lol.

Oh I see, yeah if the newer versions break your brightness control and don't make much of a drastic fix (like making EyeFinity show up again or add any new features), then just stick with 9.003. There's a saying, "If it's not broke, don't fix it."

My EyeFinity option disappeared too after I restarted the computer...

I've narrowed my aforementioned stuttering/overheating problem down to my only occuring when my Quadro 3000M is in use.

Is there a way to force the HDMI and Displayport ports to be driven from the integrated graphics? As mentioned in my previous post, I'm driving an U3011 (2560x1600) via Displayport, and an SP2309W (2048x1152) via HDMI.

p.s. I found previously documented issues with the m6600 and quadro 3000m Rev A1, although their screen was going black and I am experiencing intermittent 100% CPU usage and overheating. It sounds like Dell will offer to replace the graphics card to the Rev A2 model, but I'd like to be able to power my monitors in the meantime without running them through the 3000m if possible.

Unfortunately, these ports can only be driven by the discrete GPU.

    New update:
Getting the two 'active' display port cables got the triple monitor setup to work, though the eyefinity option still doesn't show up. If anyone wants a 3 monitor setup with the on-board monitor as one of them, then perhaps DVI and VGA won't work, didn't for me. To set it up, it requires 2 display port cables or two display port adapters that change VGA or DVI into DP.

    Hi,

After changing MB board, I re-start to setup my non-FIPS fingerprint sensor.

But, I have no lock after several removing & installation the firmware & driver.

I found the ushdiag.exe located at the FW package, and reboot to DOS to do test.

Note: I upgrade to latest FW version and use the ushdiag.exe of the same package.

    $ ushdiag -u -stat

    Show FP is not present.

    #ushdiag -u -dt 3f

Only FP shows failed, and others PASS.

I want to double check the utility is valid for all M6600 configuration before calling support.

    Thanks.

    Best Regards,

    Peter Chen
