    Hey guys!

Earlier sometime this year I posted having vision problems for using the M6600 for too long, back then, at the most, I could only spend about 1 hour on the computer, before my eyes started to turn red and started to ache and itch. So every hour I'd take a 30 minute break, killing lots of development time. However, I have found a solution!

I've been using this solution for more than 2 weeks now and it's been working wonders. Thanks to this solution, I was able to use my laptop for over 16 hours straight at one point! This was a huge lifesaver! Not only that, back before I used this solution, my eyes would be a little bit blurry after using the computer for too long, now I'm literally using it at 1920 x 1080 at 100% text size (back then I was using 150% text size) and no problems whatsoever.

What is this solution? I urge anyone who is having some sort of eye sore problem to get computer glasses. These were the ones I got, only $10, normally computer glasses would cost over $80+ at least, and these were super high quality, it has anti-reflective coating, UV protection, neutral density tint which reduces brightness and enhances contrast, and these things were just so wonderful.

Back then I had to keep adjusting brightness back and forth because my eyes would be sore at the maximum level, now though, I'm always at maximum brightness, no problems, over 10+ hours using a computer, it's amazing!!!

That sounds great, good luck, hope your computer is repaired back to normal! Definitely keep us posted.

So can you call Dell and have some sort of custom service, because I have a touchscreen M6600, can you call them and ask for them to make the monitor 'rotatable' like a lenovo X230T or the new Dell XPS 12s? If so, how much would it cost for such a service?

Hey, that's cool with the glasses, I was wondering about how those would work. Have you tried flux before? It tints the screen a yellow colour as well.

So, I heard back from Dell today regarding my broken precision m6600. They told me the motherboard is on backorder and don't know when more will be available. They said they will send out graphics card and hopefully that will fix the problem. Hopefully I can get the gpu installed tomorrow and that will get me back up and running again. I like the Pro support though, based out of the USA, super friendly and try to be helpful. Computer has been down since last Sunday though and I need it for work.....

Anyone have details on the CMO 93F76 LCD, they are trying to replace my AUO H8D3K with it after a failure.

I searched and couldn't find details on the 93F76

You can search in here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/del...82401-dell-precision-m6700-owners-thread.html,
    And Here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/del...79326-dell-precision-m6700-owners-review.html

And find posts by this member: Bokeh, I vaguely recall some discussion about this. CMO supposedly was building some quality screens now, unlike previously.

The AUO panel is much better than the CMO. I would require Dell to replace the panel with the same AUO and not "sub the part" since the specs on the AUO are physically better.

So, after being down for a week, my 6600 is up and running again, I'm happy to say. Today the technician came to my office and replaced the gpu (m8900), as well as the cpu (2860qm). Together with the new mobo replaced last week my system is almost all new hardware wise. Time to install bioshock infinite....... And get work done of course as well.
