Out of curiosity... your concerned about the 2720 bottle necking... what would be your next choice in a cpu? Its a pretty good chip. So is the 940. But have you another chip in mind?

The 2920XM is a wicked chip.

The 6970M is still actually a slightly better gaming gpu. The 8900M is based on its design but is intended to also handle things like CAD inaddition to gaming... which is what I assume you're looking for. Why not just go with a quadro?
For gaming a 4000M is probably neck and neck with it anyway, but should do better with pro apps. As the drivers mature it should be better than both... unless its the crossfire model.
The real difference between the 6970 and the 8900 is drivers. The main difference with quadro right now is architecture.

I just noticed that you can no longer order the IPS panel in the US. Is the long lead time on these due to lack of panels ?

Screen flicking black occasionally, going to roll back to default drivers off Dell site.

Are you installing them properly? (Uninstall, driver cleaner in safe mode, reboot, reinstall)

    I am on version 3

Hm when I updated the first time, I just downloaded latest off Nvidia and installed.

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with my e-port plus or is the culprit always gfx drivers? In which case I should try revert to default.

I just Looked over my purchase and realize the keyboard is not backlit. It just says standard english keyboard. Yet my rep told me repeatedly that the keyboard is backlit. Can someone verify this, what item number is listed for a backlit keyboard or the name of the keyboard in the invoice? Is there anything I can tell Dell, I have sent many emails to my rep on this fact and he spoke with his manager and was told it would be backlit, any chance I would be able to install the keyboard myself if it was sent to me or a discount? Just trying to find out what I can do, I just received an email today that the system has been shipped last Friday...
